Chapter 6: Lets have a warm soak!

A few hours after leaving the big balloon festival in Mushroom city, we made it to some sort of place called Inferno Hot Springs. "I've never seen or been to any hot springs before," Kaylz said. "I mean, I've seen pictures, but not real hot springs." We stepped through the entrance. There was so much steam in the air that I was starting to sweat a lot.

"We should sit in the hot springs for a bit," Rocket suggested. "Rocket, we just had a break," Firefang objected. "Though, it's been quite a while since I've bathed..." "Ew, you didn't need to add that part in," Fan said as he wrinkled his nose.

We all got changed into our bathing suits and stepped into a spring. The water was blazing hot, but it felt nice. Even Deli decided to take a quick dip. "We can't stay in for long, though," Firefang suggested. "Its sunset, and we still have to get to Minetopia." "Right..." said Rocket. I watched the sunset, which looked marvelous. "You don't see sunsets like these in Waflen City," I told everyone. "I haven't seen one like this for a while," Travis added. Deli started purring as she doggie-paddled around the spring. "Hey, look!" Chad said suddenly. "The water is starting to glow!" Blue and I looked down. Oh yeah! Chad was right.

Pretty soon, all of the springs started glowing. "I think its coming from the lava underneath!" Fan explained. I took a picture quickly, then set up the tent. Then, I saw something mysterious look at me from a bush. I couldn't tell what it was, but it had these skinny little eyes glaring right into mine. "We will meet again soon..." it whispered. I was about to go tell everyone about what happened but then the thing disappeared quickly. I decided to pretend it never happened. "Ok everyone," I ordered as I dried off my fur. "Time to get out. We have more traveling to do tomorrow." "Ok," said Travis as he stepped out. "Those hot springs were really nice," said Kaylz. "I know," I added. "I promise to take you all back there someday since you liked it so much."

The next morning, I woke up early along with Firefang and Deli. "Lets just take one last dip in the hot springs." I whispered as I got my bathing suit on. Deli slipped into the water, purring as she started swimming. Five minutes later, we had to get out since the sun was completely up.

A little while later, everyone was up and we left the hot springs. Chad checked the map. "Apparently the next place is a ranch," he explained. "And this ranch is famous for their horses."
