Mia
It's been 3 weeks since my first case. We have had four cases since then. The cases have kept us busy but Spencer and I always find time to hang out though. Whenever we have time off I go to Spencer's apartment and we watch movies, read and play board games. Spencer didn't mentioned anything about kissing my forehead in the hotel room 3 weeks ago so I never brought it up. Spencer and I have been getting closer and closer as we spend more time together.
I'm so glad that he is back in my life.
I think while I lean my head on Spencer's shoulder. I've been trying for the last 20 minutes to get Spencer off the bench we are sitting on. We came to the park to run but Spencer keeps refusing to get up.
"Why did we come here again?" Spencer asks, watching children run around Locust Shade Park.
"We came here to run but I can't get you off this bench."
"Oh yeah." Spencer says smiling.
I stand up grabbing his hand.
"Am I going to have to pull you off this bench or are you going to get off by yourself."
His faces glows with amusement. "You're going to have to pull me off."
I groan and roll my eyes playfully. I pull Spencer's hand expecting him to come off the bench easily but he doesn't budge. His smile widens. I pull his arm aggressively to more times before I drop his hand giving up.
"How is it possible that someone as skinny as you can be so heavy." I ask.
"Maybe you're just weak." Spencer answers.
"Excuse you." I say jokingly. "I beat Morgan in an arm wrestle last week."
I peek to his left and see his other arm is wrapped around the armrest of the bench. I raise my left eyebrow at him.
"What?" Spencer says curiously.
An idea pops into my head. I grab his hand again and pull. I slowly let my hand slip. My hand slips more and more and more.......
"Aahh," I fake scream as I fall on the ground.
Spencer slides off the bench to kneel on the floor next to me. "Oh my gosh, Mia. Are you ok?" Genuine concern in his voice.
"Yeah I'm fine. Guess what?"
"What?" Spencer says. A small smile dances across his face.
I lay on my back closing my eyes. "I got you off the bench."
Realizing I faked the fall, Spencer laughs. He offers his hand which I accept.
"Do you still want to race?" Spencer asks.
"Only if you're prepared to lose." I say giggling.
"There is no way I'm going to let you win. I'll never hear the end of it."
I shove Spencer, "Catch me if you can."Spencer
"Are my legs supposed to be throbbing?" I ask. I try to keep my focus on the road but I can't help but sneak a peek at Mia.
She giggles. "You tell me. You're the genius. Imagine what your legs would feel like if you didn't let me win." Mia says sarcastically.
"I really did let you win. I could have easily passed you at anytime."
"Sure you could have." Mia says.
I'm about to defend myself when Mia's phone rings. She digs in her purse for it.
"It's JJ." She tells me before answering it. JJ asks Mia something and Mia replies with an excited,"Yes. We will be there."
I watch Mia stuff her phone back in her purse.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"The whole team is going to the new bar at eight tonight and JJ wanted to know if we were coming." Mia answers.
"You know I don't like bars."
"I know but I promise you will have fun. You have to go." She pleads.
I think for 23 seconds before answer. "Ok. Do you want me to bring you."
"No thank you. I take long to get ready. I don't want you to have to wait on me."
"It's 6:00. Isn't 2 hours plenty of time to get ready."
Mia puts her hand on my shoulder.
"You really know nothing about girls."
I laugh. "No I don't."
