I hear JJ say something to Mia and then she stops the car. We all get out and head to the house. Adam's house is a regular, middle class, two story house with a basement. Mia goes to grab the door handle but I nudge her out of the way. I'm not trying to be rude, I just don't want her to be the first person in the house and be hurt. Of course she can be the last one in and still.......She is looking at me funny. Great now she is mad at me.
Next thing I know Derek kicks down the door and we all split up inside. I watch Mia go down a hallway and disappear into the basement. I go to follow her but someone is talking to me.
"Go down the opposite hall and check the rooms," it's Hotch.
I do as I'm told because I already have Mia mad at me and I don't need my boss to be too. I turn the knob to the first room, hold up my gun and toe the door open. I rush in scanning the room with my eyes and gun.
"Clear," I shout to anyone listening. I leave the first room and head to the second one. I do the same thing. Turn the knob. Hold up my gun. Toe the door...........
*BANG*
I turn around, panic taking over.
The gunshot came from the basement.

I understand that Spencer pushed me out of the way because he didn't want me to go in first but....Was it because he didn't think I was experienced enough or some other reason? I'm being stupid. Spencer probably didn't want me to get hurt. He knows I can do anything. And if he thinks I can't he wouldn't dare say it because he knows I don't like when people tell me what I can and can't do.
I get pulled out of my thoughts by a noise. I'm going down the stairs into the basement. Figures, right. Give the new girl the creepy, dark basement. I shiver. JJ told me in the car before we got out to check it. I jump. It's the sound again. It sounds like someone dragging chains. I take out my flashlight and continue to go down before my feet are pulled out from under me and I fall down the rest of the stairs.
Ouch. Who did that
I take out my gun and stand up.
"Hello agent. You look like you need to take a long nap." The darkness says.
Wait what
I hear someone cock a gun and at the same time I aim into the darkness.
