Chapter 35: Sassy Sibling

"How is Lilith?" I ask once everyone takes a seat for breakfast in the hotel's dining area. We chose a round table in the far corner away from other hotel guests.
"She is just a peachy ray of sunshine," Derek replies with a forced smile. Penelope smacks him in the back of the head which causes Derek to drop a piece of bacon he was about to eat.
"Derek and Lilith didn't get along very well. Health wise she is perfectly fine now. She was released from the hospital yesterday," Spencer says, taking a forkful of scrambled eggs.
I giggle and try not to choke on my orange juice, "Lilith isn't much of a people person. She prefers close family and animals."
Derek glares at me, "Yeah, I could tell."
Hotch smiles, "I hate to end this wonderful breakfast, but we have a flight to catch."
Everyone rises from the table and we all exchange hugs. Derek whispers something in Spencer's ear which causes him to blush.
"I wish you three could stay and properly meet my friends. I think you would all get along great together." I tell the girls.
"Hopefully another time we can," Emily responds.
"Yeah, we would love to. Just make sure that since we aren't here to remind you that you don't have too much fun." JJ winks at me.
When I finish talking to the girls, Hotch guides me to the outside of the group. "Just to warn you, I'm planning on giving you a few days off for emotional stress. So relax when you get back."
I nod at his decision. Once we all say our goodbyes, Spencer and I go up to our shared room. As I enter the room, I grab the tv remote and plop on the bed. I start flipping through tv channels. Spencer wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my cheek. I turn my head to kiss him on the lips, but he changes position and rolls me under him. I giggle and Spencer kisses my lips. I happily sigh into the kiss.
"I missed this."
"Me too."
Spencer's right hand travels the length of my side. Our kiss might have lead to something more if it wasn't for a voice I knew all too well.
"Ooo get some M, I wish I had some popcorn."
I jump out from under Spencer and squeal.
"Fuck you! How did you get in here?!"
The girl standing in front of Spencer and I's hotel bed is my sister. In a sassy tone she replies, "The guys at the front will give you anything you want for a bj. I don't know if you knew this M, but the male species knows I'm a goddess."
Spencer looks at her mortified and Arabella laughs which creates small crinkles at the corners of her gray eyes.
"I'm only kidding. Come on M and Spence, you know me better than that. I told the man at the desk I was here to surprise you, so he gave me an extra key." Bella sashays over to me. Her beach wavy, brown hair has grown past her shoulders since the last time I saw her.
"Great, I feel so safe that the front desk just gives keys to crazy people." I joke with her.
"I guess you are no longer the baby sister I remember," Spencer says.
"I never was," Arabella glares at him. "I've always been stronger than Mia. I was just born at the wrong time. I'm not the dumbass who got kidnapped. Like come on M, this is your job"
"Thanks for your concern," I say as I get off the bed and hug Bella.
"Eh," Bella replies.
Arabella was never one to show emotion. She keeps everything to herself because she doesn't want to be seen as whiny or weak. Occasionally I get to see that side of her. No one else does.
Spencer requests a hug from Bella which she fulfills.
"You are still the cute nerd we all know and love," Bella says.
"Yeah? Who is all?"
"M, mom, dad, and I."
"I don't know if you've noticed, but this black eye come from one of the people on your list. I don't think he likes me anymore," Spencer complains.
"How could he do that to you? Mia, I told you to keep your anger in check."
"Haha hilarious," I roll my eyes.
"Don't worry Spence, I'll be at dinner tonight. One, I'll protect you. Two, I make things interesting."
