Spencer
The first thing I thought of when Mia said Daniel, was that the letter I got was signed D. I got so worried when the line went dead that Emily and I are now in the car driving back to the police station.
"What do you think happened? Why did the line go dead? Do you think........."
"Spencer I'm sure Mia is fine. Please calm down. We will be at the station soon."
Mia
I stare at my phone in shock.
Why did the line go dead? What do I do now?
I pace back and forth in the room before I make my decision. I grab a set of car keys, a piece of paper and write down Daniel's address. As I walk out the door and head to the team's black SUV I begin to feel guilty.
I should tell someone where I'm going. But then they will stop me. They will tell me to stay at the station and keep looking for potential unsubs. But I know Daniel is the unsub. He is going to pay for what he has done.
When I reach the car I fumble with pressing the unlock button on the car key because I'm shaking with anger. I get so flustered that I drop the keys. I groan. As I bend down to grab the keys a baseball bat slams me in the back of the head. Stars dance across my vision before I'm welcomed by darkness.
