Mia
What am I going to wear.
I think to myself while I stare at my three favorite dresses that are on my bed. This first one is a plain black dress with spaghetti straps and reaches my mid thigh. The second is a strapless navy blue dress with flowers and tribal bands going around the waist. The last one is a lace, dark burgundy dress with sleeves stopping at my elbow. I look at all the dresses side by side.
Which one will Spencer like? It doesn't matter. Spencer will love me in whatever I wear. From spending time with Spencer for the last three weeks I have finally realized that I want to date Spencer. The only reason I haven't told him is because I'm afraid he doesn't feel the same way.
I decide to go with the dark burgundy dress because I feel comfortable in lace dresses and it's my favorite. I pull the dress over my head as I walk to my closet. I grab my black flats and head to the bathroom to put on some makeup. I've never really been a makeup girl so I decide to go light as always. I put on mascara then apply a little lip gloss. I leave the bathroom sneaking a glance at the clock on the small drawer by my bed. It reads 7:58pm.
Good, I didn't take as long as I thought I would.
I grab my keys and walk to my front door where I'm stopped by a little ball of gray, blue fur. I smile picking it up. It's my Russian Blue kitten, Arpeggio. When I got back from my first case I looked to see if any children needed a foster parent but none did. I don't like being alone so I got a kitten. She is the cutest. Spencer help me pick her out.

Flashback
"Follow me to the cat room. In there you can play with as many kittens and/or cats as you want to see which one you like better. When you find one that you like please tell me."
The lady opens the door to the room and Spencer and I enter. When the lady closes the door I speak.
"I hate how she talked about the kittens and cats like they aren't real, living animals."
Spencer shrugs, gently picking up the nearest kitten. It's a calico. Spencer and I spend 2 hours total in the cat room. Ten minutes before we were going to leave Spencer looked into the cave of a scratching post. He pulled out a Russian Blue kitten. Spencer handed her to me and she fell asleep in my lap.

Present time
"I love you Arpeggio." I kiss her head. She purrs then I put her on the floor. I open my door and walk to my car.
