Author's Note

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd give a personal update to those of you who care to read. If not, please feel free to skip ahead and read the continuation of Mercy & Fire.

Firstly, if you're reading this, I'd like to thank you for sticking around this far, especially since I disappeared for nearly a year. 

Not too long after I posted the last chapter, I had some health issues develop, which then snowballed into mental health issues due to a lot of factors. And then I became unemployed, so that did not help the situation at all. 

Funnily enough, unemployment has actually improved my physical and mental health condition. Some job environments just are not the ideal place for us, and if you're in a similar position, please take my advice. Don't invest too much of yourself into a job that does not care about you. Of course, it's good to care about your work and job, but be careful not to care so much that you lose a sense of who you are to the job and the people around you. Do your job well and invest yourself into things that will build you up. Don't let go of who you are and who you're trying to become. 

Anyway, I had already purchased a plane ticket to visit family before I decided to resign, so I rescheduled my flight to stretch over the summer. I took the time off to consider what I want to do in this next chapter of my life. I've decided to go back to school for a while, so life is going to get a bit exciting. That being said, I still have full intentions of finishing these characters' stories! How could I not? I love them so much, and I hope you all love them as much as I do. Gratefully, I hope you'll continue reading even with how annoyingly sparse the updates are.
