There were plenty of pancakes ready by the time the Yuus arrived, and Yuya in particular seemed very ready to feast on the good, fluffy pancakes. He looked very excited as Zarc placed a plate stacked high with pancakes on the table in front of him. "Yum!"
"Eat up, boys!" Zarc said, setting three more plates down in front of Yuto, Yuri, and Yugo. Yugo immediately took a big bite and began tearing up. "Ohh, this is so good!"
Zarc chuckled, sitting down with the fifth plate. "Glad you like my cooking, Yugo!" he said. Yugo nodded, sniffling a little. "It's really good! I don't think I've tasted pancakes this good in my whole life! What's your secret?"
Zarc just grinned, "Now if I told you that it wouldn't be a secret, now would it?"
"That's true," Yuto agreed. "But I swear I taste a bit of vanilla?"
"Maybe, maybe not," Zarc said with a cheeky grin. Yuto chuckled, and Yuri smirked. "He won't tell you either Yuto!"
"I will say there's a secret ingredient in my pancakes that I picked out myself," Zarc said. "Kairi was always trying to recreate my pancakes when I was on business trips, but even she admitted that she could never get them to taste the same."
"Secret ingredient pancakes!" Yuya said happily. "They're as good as my mom's pancakes!"
Hearing that kind of praise made Zarc's heart skip a beat. Comparison to a mother's cooking was the ultimate praise, and it made Zarc so happy to have such a compliment from Yuya.
