Zarc was in a wonderful mood as he stepped outside with his Yuus later that morning. Oh, those wonderful Yuus! They had helped him clear the table, wash and dry the dishes, and Yuya was even taking out the garbage for him! It was making everything so much faster, and now they could get in Zarc's car and head to the store to refurnish the house as soon as Yuya got back.
Yuya came around the corner and made a beeline for Zarc. "Uhm, Zarc? Did you know you have a massive wasp nest on your house?"
Zarc chuckled. "Don't worry, it's fake. I made it myself! You noticed it's right where the electrical box is, right?"
"Yeah," Yuya said, blinking. Zarc grinned, "Well, the power company sent someone to cut my power about a year ago, because Kairi didn't pay the power bills while I was on a business trip, so to prevent that from happening again, I made that fake wasp nest. The next time the power company tried to shut it off, they got spooked and left. Which gave me plenty of time to pay the power bill whenever Kairi neglected to do so."
"Sneaky Zarc!" Yuri said with a huge grin. "Very clever!"
"So wait, you could go forever with free power then?" Yugo asked. Zarc nodded, "Yeah, but I won't do that. That would be rude. It was just to make sure Kairi wouldn't keep calling me complaining about the power being out. I'll probably remove the fake wasp nest now that she's gone."
"I would leave it if I were in your shoes," Yuto suggested. "Wasps are often very territorial, and they won't usually make a nest near another wasp nest. You could easily be wasp free for a long time!"
"Very true," Zarc mused. "Perhaps I will keep it up then. But for now, on to the furniture shop!"
