The moment both Swara and Sanskar had silently been dreading in their hearts had come closer. It was the morning of Swara's departure to Mumbai.

It was Sanskar who planned everything that morning. He got up early as needed and after getting ready, he left his home with his car. He reached Swara's home in twenty minutes, picked her, Sharmishtha and Shobha up and all four of them headed together towards the Kolkata station. They reached the station around 6.30 am.

Knowing that they were half an hour before time, they took everything slowly. The four of them took all the time they needed so that they could stay with each other for a longer time. As they walked towards the platform where Swara was supposed to board her train, the impending separation felt like a weight pressing on the chest of all of them... especially Swara and Sanskar. And this weight was increasing more as the clock was ticking and they were getting closer to the platform. For the entire time, Sanskar was holding Swara's hand tightly with his while walking and refused to let go off her even for a fraction of a second, and even Swara didn't let him. All they wanted to do now was tightly hold on to each other for as long as they could, before they would part their ways for two years.

When they reached the platform, even though Swara insisted that she would arrange all her bags and luggage inside the train by herself, Sanskar was adamant on helping her. He didn't even give her a chance to stop him and he started picking all her things one by one and took them inside the train. It took some time for them to arrange everything properly.

By the time they were done with everything, Swara saw the time on an antique wall clock in front of them, it was 6.50 am. She sighed as she realised that ten minutes were remaining before she would leave her loved ones, her hometown behind.

"You know what? You are really very stubborn," Swara commented when she saw Sanskar walking outside the train after keeping the last bag inside.

"About what?" he asked nonchalantly.

"I was telling you that I'll keep my things inside, but you didn't listen to me and picked them without even looking back at me."

"Come on, Swara. It was not a big deal. It was just about a luggage and two bags," he shrugged.

"But I could have done it myself, too. The bags are not too heavy as I'm not taking that many things to Mumbai..."

"I'm still here with you, right?" he looked at her making her stop her rant, "and as long as I'm there with you, I won't turn my back on doing something for you no matter how trivial that thing would be," he stated.

"But Sanskar..." she wanted to speak further but Sanskar placed a finger on her lips.

"Ssh!" he silenced, "for one last time, before we separate, let me do something as per my wish."

Swara shut her eyes for a brief moment and took in a deep breath, trying to suck in his words. Sanskar waited for her response with a smile. But amidst their candid exchange, they got oblivious of the two pairs of eyes gazing at them from a distance.

Shobha was not able to control that hollow ache in her heart on parting from her beloved granddaughter for a long time.

She was about to step ahead and talk to Swara but Sharmishtha held her hand back.

"Shomi..." she whispered emotionally and Sharmishtha took a deep breath.

"Let them talk with each other for some time, Maa. They don't have much time left together," she tried to convince her mother, "They need it. They deserve it."

"I think you are right," she agreed with her after a brief pause. They turned their heads a little away from them to give the children the privacy they might need. On the other hand, as Swara felt she didn't have an upper hand in their debate, she finally gave in to Sanskar.
