There is only one thing in the universe that never stops, that never waits for anyone, that is untamed... Time.
Time does not hasten or linger for anyone. It just flows by the law of nature, untouched by human will.
These two years might have changed a lot of things, but not the love Swara and Sanskar carried in their hearts... for each other.
They managed to make it through... together. They stayed in touch with each other as much as possible -- those late night conversations, some teasing, some caring, a few emotional moments where they admitted they missed each other... but above all, their love stood strong despite the distances between them.
The previous two years had been way tough for Swara to cope up. As she was sitting idle on her desk in her hostel room, she sighed to herself as her mind slowly rewinded to all the events that occurred one by one in her life to shape her up into what she had became today... right from the moment she became a doctor, to crossing paths with Sanskar, to finding her soulmate in him, and at last... having to move to Mumbai for her family, for her career.
Memories of her last day in Kolkata rushed in her mind -- when she set off towards a new journey of developing herself... as a doctor and as a person, too. Now that she remembered it -- it had not at all been easy for her. She still remembered the feel of Sanskar's hand against hers... the moment their hands parted away from each other, she had already felt like she was leaving half of her heart behind to him. She still had not forgotten the pain and tears she saw in Sanskar's eyes when her train was rolling off. It was a daily struggle for her to have a hold for her feelings for those left behind, but along with that, she had another struggle to adjust herself into this wilder, more fast-paced life in Mumbai in comparison to the relatively relaxing atmosphere in Kolkata. Not only the lifestyle, but even the difficulty level of post graduation program was way more than the bachelors' degree. She remembered she had got so depressed when she couldn't score too well in her first semester exams that she didn't get in touch in any of her loved ones since three days... not even Sanskar. It was only until Sanskar's threatening message to Swara that he would fly over to Mumbai to see her if she didn't call back soon, that Swara called him and explained him all that that happened. As expected, he came up with words of encouragement for her, renewing Swara's initial spirit and everything went back to normal again.
The other time they didn't talk with each other -- more like Swara refused to talk to Sanskar -- was when she got to know from Rajat that Sanskar had got a severe headache as he had skipped his breakfast and lunch because he had to perform two back to back surgeries on the same day. She was so angry at his utmost carelessness towards his health that she cut off any contact with him, and refused to reply to any of his texts. Even his threat -- that he would come to Mumbai if she didn't reply -- didn't work on her this time. This went on for two days. At last, when he finally managed to convince her along with a little bit of sugarcoating, Swara rolled her eyes and gave in but made him swear to keep his health before anything else and not get himself too overworked.
As they had these little moments together, the calendar turned itself twice. The time changed, but apart from that nothing else changed. Everything was just the same, or maybe more than that.

A beautiful smile graced Swara's lips as she realised that the time was not far when she would get her masters degree and return to Kolkata to her hometown, to her loved ones, to her Sanskar. Yesterday, she was done with her post-graduate 2nd year exams and the results would take about a week to come out online -- which she was sure she was going to clear -- and that would be followed by a convocation ceremony where she would be rewarded with her degree officially. She was finally free after these hectic two years full of assignments, clinicals, synopsis, case presentations and exams and now she could really use this free time for something that had been in her mind for a while.
