Hansel sat at the dining table, sipping the cup of coffee he had in his hands, watching Azusa as she organized some books on her bookshelves.

He was still at her apartment, sleeping on the couch, repressing his powers and mana signal to keep anyone from detecting him.

When he recovered, he left the house while Azusa was sleeping to destroy any equipment or gadgets he had that could be used to track him, before returning here.

He had no idea why, but Azusa's presence and soul were comforting to him.

"Is the coffee good?" Azusa asked as she sat across from him at the table.

"Best coffee I ever had." Hansel nodded with a smile, and he caught the curious look in Azusa's eyes.

"You want to know who I am and what happened, don't you?" Hansel asked.

"Well, you refused to go to the hospital even after I took you to the clinic and you refused to go to the police," Azusa shrugged, "Pretty sure anyone in my place would like to know what's going on, especially if my brother comes to visit me, he'll have questions about my guest here,"

Azusa then paused, looking at the engagement ring on Hansel's finger, and then she continued softly yet carefully, "Especially, since you're engaged, I think."

The smile on Hansel's face disappeared as he said, "My fiancée was killed."

Azusa's face paled before she whispered, "I'm so sorry."

"It's alright, you didn't know, and I... well, I think I'll stay here a couple of other days just to... think about my next move, but I'll tell you what's going on, but you have to promise me not to tell anyone." Hansel replied.

Azusa nodded, "Not a word."

"I can't believe it... that is impossible..." Kazumi mumbled in disbelief.

She was sitting next to shallow-looking Daisuke on a bench in an empty park. He had texted her, asking to meet as soon as possible.

A couple of days later, they agreed to meet here, and he told her everything about what he found out.

"But why? Why would she do that? Whenever you talked about her, I could tell that she genuinely loved you." Kazumi said, confused, still in disbelief.

"I thought that too... but what type of a loving mother keeps the truth hidden from her son?" Daisuke replied before he clenched his hair in anger, "All this time... how did I not ever notice or doubt her actions? How did I not even notice my appearance being similar to Haneda Kohji? I idolized the man since I was a kid!"

"Because you trusted her... and it would've never occurred to you for something like that to happen." Kazumi replied as she placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Daisuke remained silent for a few seconds before he said, "First, my friends ignore me and cast me away, losing contact with me just like that... and now my mother."

Kazumi said nothing, allowing Daisuke to vent out.

Daisuke then turned to Kazumi with a genuine smile, placing his hand on hers as he said, "You are the only one I trust now, Kazumi."

Kazumi smiled, a faint blush appearing on her face, "Well, I suppose you would have never said anything to me if you didn't."

Daisuke chuckled for a second before he fully turned toward her and spoke up with an emotional tone, "Kazumi, I lo-".

"Well, well..."

The new female voice made both teens jump to their feet and turn around, shocked.

Madeira stood there with a smirk, a mix between friendly and vicious.
