One Week Later,

The Neo Headquarters,

Training Room,

Kaiden slightly smirked at the scene in front of him, with him and Static sitting on the floor, resting their backs on the wall, watching.

"I don't think they thought training would be that hard," Static snickered.

"I personally asked them not to go easy on the Rangers," Kaiden chuckled. "How's Akira, by the way?"

"Over the moon on his honeymoon! I'm so happy for him and Hidemi. He told me he'll be back three weeks from now," Static replied. "I still can't believe that idiot who knows nothing about romance got married."

"Romance idiot luck, I suppose," Kaiden joked, but deep down, he felt proud of his children. Of his foster son, Akira, and of his now daughter-in-law, Hidemi.

The Rangers, each holding their Vanguard weapon, unmorphed, were facing, or rather trying to face, their new mentors, who all now wore black training gi, and were testing the Rangers, before they could teach them anything.

"Inferno Sting!" Shinichi cried as he swung the chains of his Vanguard Inferno, the chains now on fire, toward Kaien, who held a samurai blade with a white handle and an orange hilt. The blade's sharp edge had an orange flame shape embedded on it.

Kaien raised his sword in a defensive stance before he performed a circular motion as he cried, "Flaming Ring!", creating a circular flame across him for a second.

Once the chains touched the flame, they ricocheted back at Shinichi, whose eyes widened and quickly retracted the chains.

"How did you do that...? This is one of my strongest moves! Too fast to be seen and too strong that it destroys my enemies at once!" Shinichi exclaimed in awe.

"Years of experience and practice, learning under different mentors, and facing different species, gave me enough knowledge and inspired me to create different moves for different situations," Kaien explained. "You'd think I'd be limited in my moves because of my age or because I only use my katana sword, Taiyou."

Kaien then raised the sword, and that's when Shinichi noticed the word Taiyou written in Kanji at the blade's beginning, which meant Sun in Japanese.

"I'm starting to think Kaiden-Sensei didn't teach us everything..." Shinichi sweatdropped.

"He taught you everything not element-related, and helped you come up with your own moves. Now, you'll train on using elements to their full potential with us, and besides, it's your job to practice what you were taught," Kaien smirked at Shinichi.

He then charged at Shinichi, who stood ready, crossing his arms to block any move.

Kaien's smirk grew before he disappeared in flames, shocking Shinichi, and then reappeared in front of him.

Shinichi raised his arms to block, but Kaien disappeared again and reappeared behind Shinichi, and only kicked him in the back.

Shinichi stumbled forward before he looked at Kaien.

"Like that? This is one of my favorite moves that I developed while training with Yoruichi. Flaming Flash!" Kaien laughed. "See? You shouldn't limit yourself to combining moves with your teammates or learning moves from your mentors or any media you watch; you can get inspiration from your teammates themselves!"

Yoruichi laughed as she easily evaded every strike from Ran using her Vanguard Storm.

Ran then flipped one of the tonfa blades until they were facing forward and aimed to attack, but Yoruichi tossed her ninjato blade behind Ran, and suddenly disappeared before reappearing where the blade was, catching it, and aiming to strike Ran.
