The stairs wind up for an eternity. At the end however, I know my mother resides...
Regardless, I march on.
A saying amongst Titans, what it means has been lost so long ago. There is no longer a cause to rally behind, in any sense. So I wonder, what does it mean to be a Titan?
It has always been those anointed by Tamiel, Etrius, or Torpor, to do their bidding. However, loyalty means nothing to them.
Being a Titan has nothing to do with the being you follow, not the promise of power that follows your ambition.
Not even the promise of divinity has relevance when speaking the word 'Titan'.
We are merely mortals... Mortals that stand up to power with our own! A Titan takes their power and pushes it to the limit without asking for more! It is a concept they couldn't understand.
Tamiel... Etrius.... Even Torpor were cruel in the nature of their manipulation. In the very end, Torpor learned his mistake, and tried to amend. But nonetheless, they used is to become gods.
Where the Titans may be the result of those three, the relation ends there. The Titans seek only to realize their destiny and ambition, whereas the other three took shortcuts. They tried to choose their fate, and neglect their destiny.
No one becomes god because they said they would. Only destiny and fate chooses that.... Willpower brings you only so far, as you can bring a house to water but you can't make it drink.
Reality can't be bent without breaking, so they decided to twist the nature of existence. They have thrown off the balance of this realm.
To understand the nature of transcendence, is to in turn, understand the nature of creation and destruction, and of time and space, and of the spirit and the flesh.
Only a being who understands the joy and cruelties of this world can truly understand the world as a whole. One who has experienced everything, and has taken time to observe the earth as an entity, and has accepted his reality: we are merely dust in an endless sea of sand.
On the contrary, this same person knows when the tide rises up, he can rise and be carried into a much larger ocean. Why by the god of earth, when you can reshape the maelstrom, and reality itself.
There is indeed one man, fit to be a god. Do not confuse "fit to be" with "should be", as his heart is stone and his idea of morality is nonexistence.
However, he put all this work... And actual work... Into his plan.
"Don't worry Levy, I'm coming for you, and then we will take out Derkeszher."
I approached the room that the map said to be the location of the power source.
The doors open without resistance, showing me to a glass box within the room. There were two ends to this room, separated by a wall of glass.
"Who are you?"
The voice was faint but I could clearly recognize it...
"Levy! It's me, Nelly! I came to save you! So has everyone else, Jack, Vlad, even Jazz came!"
Her eyes seemed hazy, and her attitude was borderline apathetic. She did not move, note spoke after she asked about me. She simply stared at me as if to disclaim my own remark.
"You're not Nelly. If you were Nelly, you would be younger. You're not Nelly, and even if you were, you're not my daughter. You're a cheap imitation, nothing more...."
My mind begins to swirl, pushing me into a new sensation. None of this makes sense, I come to rescue her and she doesn't want it? On top of that, she only seems intent on me being a clone.
