The Stalked, The Loved and The Reflection

Chapter fifteen

When we reached the attic Noran wasn't there. Just the mirror. There were somethings on the shelf that fell down that were also missing.

"Oh my God she's not here!" I started having a melt down.

Devin bent down next to me on the floor and put his arm around me.

"It's going to be okay. We'll find her if it's the last thing I do." He said wiping my tears. It's kind of awkward since my snot dispersed on my face with my tears.

"This is magic we're working with. Finding her could be the last thing we all do. But I won't give up." I said sniffling and wiping my tears so he wouldn't try touching my boogers again.

I got up and walked over to the mirror which was still programmed to watch me.

"If I think about her it should reprogram to seeing her." I said.

Everyone gathered around me and I started thinking about her.

I looked down at the mirror. It looked like a normal mirror.

"It's not working! It always works! It's just a mirror now! How will we find her?!" I started panicking again.

"Calm down ma. Where did you get the mirror? Maybe ask that person about it." Kevin said.

"That's actually a good idea." Genesis said.

"I swear you think I'm stupid." He said.

"Nah Thug Jesus. You're almighty." Genesis said.

"It is a good idea...we need to head back to the school." I said.

"You bought it in the school store?" Genesis asked.

"No. It was a small pawn shop next to the school. It disappeared after I got the mirror. It should reappear."

"Wait a minute. Let me get this straight... you bought a mirror from a mystical pawn shop that just appeared and disappeared after you bought it?" Daniel asked.

"Yes. Any other critisism? Speak now or forever hold your peace." I said.

Daniel surrendered and no one else said anything.

"Let's go then. " I said and we went to the truck.

We reached the school and went around the corner.

"It's not there." Daniel said.

I felt a cold breeze like the one I felt the day it appeared.

"No. It's here. It never left. " I said walking towards the empty space.

They all looked at me like I was crazy. But, I took a leap of faith and kept walking.

Devin's POV

Maddie started walking towards the empty corner as if...oh shoot.

"Y'all see this too right?" I asked as Maddie slowly started to disappear into thin air.

"Yea...I see it." They all said.

"Should we follow her?" Daniel asked.

"We can't just stay out here. Something could happen to her in there. I'm going in." I said walking towards the area.

"I'll come with." Said Genesis.

Kevin followed.

"Daniel you coming? " I asked noticing he was just standing there.

"We should have a lookout in case you can't come out or something." He said.

"Good thinking Danny boy." I said and we started walking in.
