Chapter seventeen

Noran's POV

I sat there in that dark room. It reaked of sorrow and fear. All I could see was my innocent soul struggling to creep out of my body. It cried as it tried to take me with it, but I am stuck here. Forever maybe; with nothing but a strange incandescent light to my right side.

I thought I heard someone yelling for me, but after sitting in a barren dark room for a long time, you begin to hear things. So I paid it no mind.

I've ran out of tears that I began to cry blood. My heart was weak and mg fear began to kill it.

I cried out her name one last time with the last bit of hope that I had:

"MADDIE!"

"Noran! I'm coming for you baby girl don't be afraid! Please! " I heard a voice like hers.

My ears have hallucinated her voice many times but it felt real this time.

I used all the strength I had left to stand up. I couldn't see her but I felt her presence near me and I used her voice as my energy and hope.

"Maddie! Is it really you? Are you really here?" I asked walking around in circles probably since I can't see.

"Yes I'm here! You can only get to me if you're not afraid!" She yelled.

"I'm not afraid." I said and I closed my eyes. May as well since it felt like they were already closed.

I opened them and I could see Maddie in front if me with Daniel.

"Maddie!" I yelled running to hug her when I was stopped by a force field. It knocked us both to the ground.

Maddie's POV

We were knocked to the ground by some sort of force field. Noran could see us and vice versa but we couldn't reach her.

"What's happening? " she panicked.

I almost panicked too until I remembered that everything is controlled by emotions and fear can kill you.

"I don't know but don't be afrai-" Daniel began to say and we both looked at the light protruding behind her.

It kept getting bigger and bigger.

"What?! What's going on?!" She screamed. The more afraid she got the closer the light came.

"I don't know!" I basically had a melt down because I didn't know what to do.

She was so close but yet so far from me I couldn't take it.

"Maddie calm down you're going to make it worse for all of us. " Daniel said, bringing me back to reality.

The light was now right next to Noran. And it looked like it was just a human sized ball of fire.

"I am Natiff." I said.

I swear I almost jumped out of my underwear.

"What type of demonic crap Is this? Fire don't talk!" I got creeped out and tried to hide behind Daniel but he wouldn't let me. Can't let me be a prissy for once? Damn...

"I am not fire. I am energy. One of the emotion Gods of the zone." It said.

"There are so many things wrong with what you just said." Noran stumbled to say to the ball of hot breath.

"Energy isn't an emotion." She said.

"There's no such thing as an emotion God." Daniel said.

"I'm not even gonna roast your ass you're literally already on fire." I said.
