Chapter Eighteen

I slowly began to regain consciousness. First I smelt fire which is weird since you need oxygen to make fire and I currently couldn't breathe. Then I felt 165 pounds, more or less, on top of me.

I opened my eyes and caught my bearings and saw every one sitting around a fire except Devin...he was sitting on me.

"Devin get off of me!" I yelled gasping for air.

"Guys she's alive!" He said.

He held out his hand to help me off the ground but I pushed it away.

"I'm not touching the hand of the bastard that almost killed me." I said rolling my eyes and getting up by myself.

"Well damn." He said slowly retrieving his hand that I left hanging.

I walked over to everyone else and they were gathered together looking at a piece of paper thin cloth. Or cloth thick paper, I don't even know.

"What's this for?" I asked.

"We are making out the forest to find a way out." Devin said from behind me.

"How are you going to do that!" I asked.

"Well, because of Kevin's dumb ass, we got chased by a should've been extinct 1000 years ago creature and it chased us around the whole forest." Genesis said.

"Hey if it wasn't for me you wouldn't be able to map this so stop putting the fault on me." Kevin said eyeing Genny.

"What ever. But we just need to know what the outside of the forest looks like." She said.

"Wait...if you didn't see the outside...how'd you get here?" I asked trying to throw at least a bit of logic into the situation.

"We were transported I guess. After we went in the shop, so to speak, we just walked in here...I don't know. Nothing has been making sense for a good a while now." Genny said.

"Do you see the outside?" Kevin asked me and Daniel.

"Yea we came through this door that is really high up that you just fall into a pit basically. Then we saw Noran then we were transported here." I answered.

"Hmm I guess we didn't see the outside either." Daniel said.

"You saw Noran?!" Genesis asked.

"Ohh yea. We forgot to tell you that we found her. But the God of energy or something like that said it's safer for her to stay with him until we got you guys." Daniel said.

"What? Why?" Kevin asked.

"Something about it being dangerous." I answered.

"I mean we were chased by a beast but it wasn't that bad." Devin said.

"Yea it was kinda fun." Kevin chuckled.

"Fun?! You almost got us killed." Genesis said heated up.

"It was for the best." Kevin said putting his arm around her shoulder.

"Kevin go long." She said.

"Why..?"

"Cause you're bouta to catch these hands." She said motioning a fist towards his face.

"Y'all kill me. You fight like siblings." I said.

"Siblings? I look nothing like his giraffe looking ass." Genesis said.

"Don't get started with me baby girl. I'll roast the salt off your chicken little looking ass." Kevin said looking at Genny up and down.

"Guys be serious. We need to find a way out of here." Devin said.
