➳ Chapter 26 - Pink Taco

[CC's POV]

We all soon arrived and took our seats in the biggest booth.

My band, Alex, and her friends were all here, along with Alice, Juliet, Jesse, Yanni, and Chris.

Cayden stuck close to Johnnie, who looked pretty down and upset.

Cayden seemed pretty worried about him, but both still manage to talk with everyone and everything was just great.

Cayden looked happy being with his friends. It made me happy, since I know this is want Josefina wanted.

"Wow, they weren't wrong. There are pink tacos," Damon laughed as we all ate.

"They taste good," Shannon said.

"You all have Ashley here to thank,"

We all ate and laughed and had a good time, me secretly ordering a cake for us all and singing happy birthday to Cayden.

"Hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom," Johnnie suddenly mumbled.

The guys watched as he got up and walked away.

"I'll talk to him," Cayden said, getting up and walking over.

I then turned to Alex. "Hey, Alex, is Johnnie okay? He's been pretty down since him and Cayden met up again," I asked.

"He'll be alright, CC. He's just been dealing with some stuff," She said.

"Johnnie is just having one of those gloomy days. He'll be fine after a while," Kyle said.

I nodded as I looked back and then just took another bite of my cake.

[Cayden's POV]

I entered the bathroom and saw Johnnie was in the corner by the stalls.

I locked the door and walked over to see he was crying.

"Johnnie, tell me what's wrong? You're really starting to worry me, and I'm scared if I don't you, you'll just end up relapsing or something," I said.

He looked up at me as I wiped his eyes.

"Y-You'll hate me if I tell you," He said.

"Johnnie, I'm you best friend," I said. "I could never hate you no matter what."

"But...." He mumbled, but I stopped him.

"Just tell me, I promise, I won't get mad," I said.

He bit his lip nervously, then looked up at me. "I... I cant say, but... I can show you," he said.

My eyebrows scrunched together and then I noticed Johnnie leaned in nervously.

My eyes widen a little when I realized what was going on I felt his lips touch mine.
