[Cayden's POV]
I woke up to soft whimpering and groaned as I felt some sunlight.
My eyes opened to meet with Johnnie's sleeping face.
I smiled and then noticed movement a short distance away.
I guess Josie woke up before any of us.
I leaned over, gently kissing Johnnie's cheek before carefully forcing myself out of the couch, maneuvering past the cots to Josie's bassinet, seeing her fidgeting around boredly, whimpering.
I smiled and cooed at her as I carefully pulled her from the bassinet and held her in my arms.
"Hey there," I smiled. "Bored, huh?"
She only cooed as she looked curiously up at me.
"Yeah, this hospital is starting to make everyone a little stir crazy," I said, walking over to a nearby seat. "But we'll be home soon once Mom gets better."
She fidgeted a little as she reached up to poke my face. I smiled and held her hand.
I then looked over to see Hannah and Dad sound asleep, and that's when I spotted the ring on Hannah's finger and smiled.
"Good job, Dad," I said, then Josie motioned for my attention.
"You know, you're named after a really strong amazing woman," I smiled. "My mom... She would have liked you."
Josie just stared at me curiously as I smiled sadly.
"Yeah, she... She died a while back," I said, sighing sadly. "She was sick, and... Yeah..."
She looked up at me as she sucked on her binkie.
"But she's at peace now," I smiled. "And I can never forget her. Yeah, I'm sad you'll never meet her."
Josie then turned as if something were in front of us and she reached out and smiled at empty space.
I scrunched my eyebrows. "What?"
She just giggled happily.
I couldn't help but laugh. I realized everything did feel a bit more... calm... and happy... so she's probably noticed.
"I promise, I'm gonna be the best big brother I can for you. I mean, I'm almost 19, but don't worry," I smiled. "I'm still gonna be around for you, your mom, and Dad, and definitely teach you some awesome drumming skills once you're able to hold your own set of sticks. Gotta get you into the family business after all."
She looked up and giggled at me, and that's when I felt cool air on my neck and shivered, looking around.
Weird.
My thoughts were pulled by the door opening and see it was our nurse.
"I see our little girl's awake," she smiled, whispering so nobody woke up.
"Yeah, I'm guessing she was hungry," I said as she fidgeted.
"Well, let's get her fed then. I can teach you about making her formula if you need to," she said.
"That would help a lot, thanks," I said as Josie's little hand tugged on my hair.
She explained to me how to prepare the baby formula for Josie and soon I was feeding a bottle to Josie in time to see my Dad woke up, looking around confused before looking up at me feeding Josie as the nurse packed up her things.
"Hey," he yawned. "Did she wake you up?"
"Kind of, but she didn't cry," I said.
"I see you already got everything under control," he smiled as he sat up, stretching as Hannah was waking up.
I chuckled softly and shrugged as he walked over. "Guess so."
"Look at you, huh?" Dad cooed at her. "Already getting spoiled by your big brother, huh?"
We both laughed as Hannah smiled over at us.
Josie soon finished her bottle and Dad offered to burp her.
"Babe, you sure you can do that?" Hannah asked as Dad rested Josie on his shoulder, gently patting her back.
"Pfft, of course I can. Its not that hard to have a baby bur-"
"Belch."
A loud little burp sounded off and Dad froze in shock.
"She puked didn't she?" I asked as I realized what happened and Hannah was muffling her laughs.
"Just get me a towel," he said, taking some deep breaths as the nurse took Josie and I was trying not to laugh, but failed.
Thankfully tomorrow we'll be back home and we can all spend time as a family.

**Okay, so definitely going forth with the whole current song obsession thing. Will be posting a different song at the end of every chapter that I am currently into and/or enjoy, or even what I'm listening to at the moment.
Songs will be different for each chapter and for each story, and fair warning, I have many different tastes that will even surprise you.
To start it off, song I am currently into right now:
Carlos Vives ft. Shakira "La Bicicleta"
(translated to: The Bicycle)
And since this will probably be asked, yes I am Colombian, from my mother side (I was born here in Florida), and my city is Barranquilla (Atlantic region). 💛💛💙❤
Let me know what you guys think of the story so far!! :)
