Chapter 16

Jennifer's POV:

It's our last day in Kentucky, so I decide to enjoy the outdoors, so I go to the horse stable behind my house.

I open the gate and I see my horse, Muffin. I take her out of her stable and I climb on her, since I don't need a saddle.

I take her out into the open field right by the stable and I breathe in the fresh air. Sometimes I miss being home. No paparazzi to bombard me.

The sun starts to set, and I starting to head back home when someone stops me.

"Auntie Jen," screams Bear.

I hop off my horse and run over to him.

"Bear, how did you get over here and why?"

"I wanted to give this to you."

He then hands me a small box and runs away.

"Bear wait!"
Oh well. He probably had to get back to the house.

I watch him run away as someone else approaches.

Josh.

And he's on a horse.

"Hey you," says Josh.

"Hey. Did you know Bear just came up to me all the way from the house just to give me this box?"
"Have you opened it?"
"No."

"Well open it."

I open it to find a beautiful silver band with a big diamond.

I look down to see Josh on one knee.

Here comes the waterworks.

"Jen, these past 5 to 6 months with you have been the best months of my life. I remember when I first met you. I instantly fell in love. I was just too scared to admit it. Doing The Hunger Games with you has also been so much fun and I can't imagine my life without you. I know it hasn't been that long since we've started dating, but we've known each other for years and I know we're meant to be. So will you, Jennifer Shrader Lawrence to the honor of marrying me?"
"Yes Josh, a million times yes!"
He takes the ring out of the box and slips in on my finger.

"It's beautiful Josh! I love you!"
"I love you too."

I kiss him hard on the lips right as everyone comes running from the house to the field.

"So what did she say?" asks Ben.

I hold up my hand as Josh screams, "She said yes!"

Everyone starts screaming and puts us in a big group hug.

After everyone lets go, Bear comes up to us.

"Thanks for helping me Bear."

"Your welcome."

I lift Bear into my arms as I speak to him.

"So you were in on this huh?"
"Yep!"

He wiggles out of my arms and runs away.

After everyone comes back inside, Josh and I stay outside on a blanket.

I hold up my left hand in front of our faces as it begins to get dark.

"I can't believe we're getting married."

"Me either," says Josh.

"I can't wait for you to become my husband."

"Well I can't wait for you to become my wife."

I kiss Josh's lips softly and lay my head down on his chest.
