Hey guys . . . so it's been, what, 4 months?
I'm sorry :) Anyways, on with the story! This one's a long chapter
Time made Cathryn's hands tremble.
Chica threw herself into a silent run, charging Freddy's back as the bear targeted the main stage.
Bonnie followed, Cathryn's stomach lurching as the rabbit half ran, half tiptoed them west. They were making a triangle. Freddy was the tip.
Chica halved the distance between her and the lead animatronic at double Bonnie's speed, catapulting herself over one table only to use the surface of the next to launch into the air. It was impressive, but gravity made her movements heavy.
Freddy paused, turning just as yellow hands collided with his shoulders. The empty restaurant overflowed with the sound of metal crashing against the hard tiled floor. The commotion was equal to banging a large spoon on an iron pot, and Cathryn wished she could cover her ears.
Bonnie shifted into a run, swerving through the rows of tables like he was a getaway driver dodging cones. He was nearly successful, clipping the edge of one table and tearing the plastic design from its wooden base.
The world blurred, muted colors flashing past Cathryn's head as they approached the fight. She didn't have time to pep talk herself as the confident chicken went flying through the air towards the wall. Chica landed in a heap near the bathroom entrances.
Freddy rose from the ground, turning on his heels to meet them.
The next thing Cathryn knew, her bruised knees connected with the floor, making her yelp. A purple leg grazed her skull as Bonnie hurdled over her and into action.
Their robotic hands collided, Freddy's stare narrowing and his eyebrows dipping down. He twisted, fiery eyes on Cathryn, until Bonnie shoved them both sideways. The rabbit freed one hand, slid it towards the bear's face, and slammed Freddy's head into the nearest tabletop.
The blow left the wood quivering, but Freddy seemed less than disoriented. He reached back, shoved his fingers through the slight gap in the waistline of the purple outer layer, and, seizing one long ear, heaved Bonnie up and over the table.
The animatronic crashed into the next row, sending chairs and a table leg soaring.
Cathryn struggled to her feet, knees knocking, as the bear turned and made eye contact. Freddy was expressionless as he charged her.
Chica returned, tackling the threat around his middle. She forced her weight on top, pressing an elbow into Freddy's throat while pinning his legs down with her own. The bird let out a screech and Cathryn's ears rang.
Memories of her hand throbbing made Cathryn pause, but not for long. She kicked herself into gear and shuffled towards the scuffle. If Chica could just keep him down long enough, maybe–
In one moment, their likelihood of success changed drastically.
Bonnie was clambering over the table towards the scene when Freddy shoved Chica's arm away and let out a list of robotic chirps.
Cathryn waited for the bird to react and sock her boss in the jaw, but she didn't. She remained motionless until Freddy slammed a fist into the side of her head and knocked her out of the way.
His hateful gaze locked with Cathryn's again, and her mouth went dry.
Through the blurry corners of her vision, she saw Bonnie blink and pull himself together, dropping from the table on top of Freddy. His leg kicked into Chica's side, but neither animatronic seemed to notice, both scrambling to hold the flailing bear still.
