Shino had hidden his magic bug in a cave surrounded by bushes and undergrowth. You’d have to be right up on the brush in order to fall into the cave. Naruto was so happy we found the bug, that he hugged Hinata tight. Thus causing her face to flame up and having her almost pass out. Once he released her, I grabbed her arm.
“Come on Hinata, your face is still flushed.”
“Oh-okay.” She giggled as if Naruto was still embracing her. Gently, I lead Hinata to the sound of rushing water. With glazed over eyes, Hinata smiled at the sky and ground as I lead her. She had every right to be happy though, she had technically found the bikochu. Without her, we wouldn’t have it.
“Thank you, Hinata.” I gratified.
“Sasuke is a Leaf shinobi. He’s our comrade.” Then Hinata dropped her voice in thought, “I know you’d do the same if Kiba or Shino ever left.”
“Shino wouldn’t leave.” I laughed.
“How are you so sure?” She blurted, not really thinking about her words, just responding to my sure tone.
“He’d miss me too much.” I explained. “Shino and I are tight. Tight like skinny jeans on a giraffe.”
Hinata laughed, “That’s an interesting visual.”
“I like giraffes.” I muttered.
“And bunnies and tigers and chocolate-“
“MMmmm, Chocolate.” I moaned in pleasure.
Hinata trilled off another laugh then continued her list, “And lollipops and…”She paused, “Naruto?” He voice was barely a whisper and more of a question.
“You can’t eat Naruto.” I gagged at the thought.
“I was just listing thing off you like.” Hinata explained, but I ignored her.
“Well I guess you could eat him. I’m not sure he’d be very tasty though. I’d imagine it would be like butter, ketchup, and hamster fur put in a blender and mixed into a thin paste to spread over blueberry toast.”
“How do you come up with this stuff?” Hinata asked.
“Come up with what stuff?”
“The stuff you say?”
“Paper clips jumping rope.” I shrugged, helplessly.
“What?”
“T-rex failing ballerina class because he can’t get his arms in the perfect fifth. No wait I got it…Space.” I smiled happy with my answer to her question. I glanced over at her face, but it remained very confused. I don’t think my answers even made it to her brain.”
