This chapter is probably going to be really short and might suck just a little bit.  My friend gave me his cold, so I don’t feel that great.  I promised which is the only reason why I’m updating.  I hope it doesn’t suck too bad and thank you for sticking with this story.

Hinata was puffing air out at a fast pace and her brow was dotted with little sweat beads.  I wasn’t in much better condition.  As time went one, my aim got worse and worse.  After we’d been out here or an hour or so, my arm started to throb.  I probably threw my kunai over a hundred times.  Hinata was still going strong though.  That even though she didn’t have the chakra to push out anymore, she still pushed.

After I threw the last kunai in my hand, I plopped to my knees.  Hinata attempted her rotation deal-y thing, but it only got a little away from her.  Once her arms stopped moving, her head fell down and she clutched her knees.  Somehow I pushed myself to my legs and walked to go retrieve the ten kunai I had thrown.

Hinata peeked at me from under her eyelashes, but didn’t say anything because of her panting.  Once I had all the mini devils in my hand, I went and sprawled out on my back in front of Hinata.  “Ida are you alright?” She panted.

“I’m fine.” I huffed, feeling the cool blades against my exposed skin.  Rather quickly my heart beat slowed and I could think clearly again, “Is it normal if your legs talk to you about their…activities when you are trying to defrost a frozen jelly worm?”

Hinata sighed and plopped down next to me, “No Ida, no I do not think that is normal.  You may want to talk to someone about that.” Hinata suggested.

I shook my head, messing up my hair in the back as friction was created between my hair and the plush green blanket.  “I tried that already,” I explained, “A mamma bird tried to eat my belly button lint while her kids cawed for my demise.”

“I’m sure that was terrifying.” Hinata mused as she started to pluck at the grass.

“Nah it was kind of fun.  Those turtles had no idea what to do when this blender started singing.”

Hinata paused for a couple minutes.   Her breathing was slow and even, so I thought she might be asleep.  I would’ve gone to sleep too, if I my mind wasn’t on a certain Uchiha.  I still couldn’t shake the last day I’d seen him.  He had been so sweet for the last couple hours, like nothing was wrong.  I offered to help him train and he seemed thrilled with the idea.  The stab of his betrayal still ribbed through me like a lion with a fresh carcass.  Whenever I thought about it, my eyes stung with unshed tears.  I wouldn’t cry over Sasuke.  I wouldn’t.

Hinata broke through my retreat, “We should probably go wash up.”

“Yeah.” I agreed, “You look like a mess.”

Her hands went to her hair and she started running her fingers through the short locks.  A panicked and slightly embarrassment shone in her lilac eyes.  A thin line of blush accompanied her cheeks.  I didn’t get what it all meant until her face turned the same red it did when Naruto was mentioned.
