Chapter 10

Jess's POV

 I was explaining Sky and myself's connection and when I was finished he asked."Why do you need fighters?""Well.."I started to say when Zach ran to me and said"There here."My mind darkened as I remembered our last encounter with those flea brains."Are you sure?"I asked. He nodded.I turned and shouted to my people."Kits,Elders,Carriers,and apprentices go to the east safe house now! Everyone else come with me."I took of my hat so my ears showed,and snaked my tail out as well.All of my chargers did the same.I told Nico to follow the rooftops if he could.I turned and ran out the door following the sent of the intruders.I stopped dead when I saw they had brought their whole group, even some of the young pups and elders.Rex,their leader,stepped out."Hello,Hello kitty."He said.His group laughed.That inferior kids show was terrible."Well you're one to talk,Red Rover."I sneered.My group laughed."You must be really weak if you need to bring your elders and kits with you."I said looking at his group."Or is the generation of chargers you have just even weaker than you"I asked.I went into defensive stance as Rex and his group prepared for battle.They moved their hats to show their disgusting ears and brought out the mange-ridden tails.Stupid Inus,thinking they could defeat us.Rex smiled."Actually Jess,we brought some reinforcements."

Nico's POV

 When I saw the figures step out of the shadows,I made for the first shadow I saw.No matter what happened,the neko's would need help.I traveled to Camp half blood as fast as I could.I burst in the big house and surprised everyone.Apparently there was a meeting. Percy ,Annabeth ,Thalia, Piper, Jason, Frank,Hazel,Leo,and Chirion looked at me with surprise."Nico."Chirion said"I hope you quest went.."I cut him off."Need Percy,Jason,and Thalia."I said out of breath.Percy looked confused.'Why?"He asked."Hydra,Chimera,Minotaur."I said."What?"Everyone said in unison. Jason stood up."Alright Nico,show us."They walked over to me.I grabbed their hands and Jumped into the shadows.

 Percy's POV

 As soon as we arrived,Nico collapsed.I guessed that taking three people through the shadows while out of breath was hard.Thalia bent over Nico and fed him some ambrosia.She looked up."You go,i'll be right there."She said.Jason and I ran towards the sound of cats fighting.When we got there we saw the weirdest thing.Cats and dogs fighting and people with cat ears and dog ears fighting,then a small group fighting the monsters.Jason and I went to help with the monsters.Jason started fighting the Minotaur,I was fighting the Hydra,and the cats were fighting the chimera.The lead cat changed fights and helped me with the hydra.I remembered her from earlier,Jess i think her name was.She jumped and swiped at its eyes.That distracted it long enough so i could charge it and slash at it's belly.Jason finished with the Minotaur and went to help the cat people with the chimera.The Hydra shot acid at Jess.She dodged and flipped and was all around graceful. She dodged every hit the Hydra sent her way.I did my best to not cut off its heads,instead cutting its main body.I heard a human-like scream come from where the chimera was.I turned to see a tabby being held under the paw of the chimera. The snake tail bit her and she yowled in pain.I saw the cat helping me with the Hydra stop and watch as the tabby stopped moving. Suddenly,Jess yowled with such a fury that everyone stopped,including the monsters.They all stared at her.She lifted in the air and stared at the chimera surrounded in a red glow.I looked into her eyes and saw nothing but fury and I saw the sea drying up and Olympus falling and New York in ruins and Camp half blood being over run by monsters.I looked at the chimera.It had it's snake tail in between its legs and was whimpering like a baby.She started to glow a red I could only say I had only seen once.The same red glow had surrounded Clarassie in the battle of Manhattan while she killed the drakon.Jess had the blessing of Ares.She started to glow and change.She got bigger and bigger until she was the size of a lion.Her claws got a golden covering that I knew was celestial bronze.Everyone watched in amazement.She hit the ground running,fury still burning in her eyes,right at the chimera.Within seconds the chimera and hydra were monster dust.She stood in front of everyone the glow fading.One of the dog people came to her and bowed, the others followed suit.Even the cats bowed.Jess turned into a human and meowed at the dog in front of her.The dog looked up with fear in his eyes and barked.She growled and yowled at him.He got up and ran with his tail between his legs.The other dogs followed.Once they were gone she went into cat mode and meowed to someone before going to see the tabby from earlier before.She had some other cats help the tabby on her back and went back to a warehouse.I followed them inside and they brought the tabby over to an older looking cats before turning to me and Jason.She turned into a human and asked where Nico was.Nico walked through the door and walked over with Thalia."We saw the whole thing."Nico said"I would like to talk to the leader of your group."Jess said. Nico paled.I assumed she meant Chiron."Ok."I said."Lets go."I knew Nico could shadow travel again so I iris messaged Annabeth.She said she would send Blackjack and Porkpie over.We stood on the roof and waited.When Blackjack arrived I sat with Nice and Jess and Thalia and Jason rode Porkpie.I smiled this was going to be easy to explain to camp.
