Ahayah

"You okay Jamaica?" I asked approaching her. I looked past her and took in the appearance of a very fragile human being. Her hair was huge and tangled on top of her head, she had dark rings around her eyes which was a high yellow tone along with the rest of her body, and her clothes were hanging off her. But she was gorgeous.

"Hey are you Jamaica's new girlfriend?" She asked smiling at me. We both looked at Jamaica who had tears running down from her face. "No I'm just a friend but come in." I said allowing her to come in which Jamaica agreed with. "Whats wrong, who are you?" I asked since Jamaica was gonna sit there and stare.

"I'm Arliyah. I'm Arora's mom." She replied. I gasped but let it go. "I'm Ahayah.." I told her shaking her hand. "I know who you are. You're that model that's been all over the summer seasons magazines." She smiled. "Oh yea that's me. But do you need anything to drink or eat?" I asked taking control. She nodded and I snapped at Jamaica making her go get her something to eat and drink for her.

"Momma?" Arora asked coming back into the living room. I put my hand over my mouth fighting tears cause this was a sight to see. This is my first time hearing her talk since I met her. "Arora?" She smiled hard and hugged her tight. They both started shedding tears and behold Jamaica hit the corner and broke down crying.

I rushed to her aide and sat down holding her in my arms. "She.....left.....he left.....she's b-back.... she couldn't. He can't.... Please.... please...." she couldn't get the words out cause she was crying so hard. "Take your time Jamaica please. Don't do this to yourself. Breathe baby breathe." I whispered as I held her tight in my arms. "She left Arora. She left her. Here. With me. She left. She. She. Back. He ran. He ran. For her. Drugs.. and men." She tried to get it out. I understood even though it was hard.

I looked up from where we sat and watched as Arora and Arliyah continued to cry together. I wanted to say something but the proper words wouldn't form. All I could do was watch. "Its gonna be okay Jamaica.. I promise." I whispered as I kissed her cheek.

She shot me a half smile and hugged me tight. "You.. you're the.. the most amazing girl.... I've. I've. Ever met."she whispered hugging me tighter. I wrapped my arms around her and felt a feeling I've never felt before. I pulled back and helped her to her feet. "Auntie Maica?" Arora came over and held her by her hand. She smiled and pulled her to where her mom was.

"I was wondering if Arora can spend the day with me and my mom." Arliyah asked fixing her clothes. "Are you well?" Jamaica asked looking her up and down. "Yes Jamaica. I got myself clean. And I've been clean for about 3 months now. I promise. I wouldn't have came back if I wasn't." She replied digging through her worm out purse.

She pulled out a neatly folded piece of paper and handed it to Jamaica. She read over it and smiled hugging her. "Well how come you still look like you not?" Jamaica asked. "My hair was fixed but you know how it gets in the humidity. And I don't have money to get my own clothes yet. I start my job next week. So hand me downs till then. And make up break me out you know that." She laughed fixing her hair. It was long and poofy. I thought it was weave. "Well I guess she can." Jamaica replied reluctantly. Arora and Arliyah hugged her and they both walked out the door to an awaiting car with an older women sitting in it waving to Jamaica.

"You okay?" She asked me as she walked closer getting ready to kiss me but she stopped her self. I wanted her to kiss me. But I forgot I shot her down earlier. "Yea I'm okay. You?" I asked looking at her sincerely. "Yes... I've never broke down like that in front of anyone." She smiled and pulled me into a hug.
