"..If you're reading this letter, it's probably too late." I continue with my heart beating quickly in my chest,"I'm somewhere you least expect me to be. Tell the boys I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly. I apologize for that.. It's just... Wendy, when you left.. my entire world turned into one disheartening mess. I'll admit, I'm selfish for doing this but Wendy, my love.. you were my other half.. and.. and you left me for that damned world you call home. If you're wondering about my whereabouts, I inform you that I've gone to the one place I call home besides Neverland. Love you lots. Peter."
I stare blankly at the messily written letter and hide myself with my hands to cover my noticeable tears. Someone stoops next to me and by the way the person rubs my back, I can tell it's Calum.
"I'm sorry about all of this.. We all are. I didn't think this situation was that bad.." Calum sympathizes as he rocks me in his arms.
"That's enough," Luke grimaces," Wendy. Do you have any idea where that shit head can be?"
I turn to Luke's direction and glare upon him.
"Call Peter a shit face again, and you're gone, Hemmings." I threaten, the tears already drying up in an instance.
Luke rolls his eyes and crosses his arms in frustration.
"Fine princess, do you have any idea where Peter can be?" he asks sarcastically, gaining a nudge from Michael.
I leave Calum's embrace and stand face to face with Luke.
"You have a thing for nicknames, don't you, asshole?"I chuckle hysterically.
Luke stares at me with humor and bites his lip as if to intimidate me. He inches closer to my face and presses his thumb against my trembling lips. Trying to act tough, I pretend that his actions don't scare me.
"How are we going to find your little boyfriend with that filthy mouth of yours?" Luke sighs in shame.
Michael and Calum tell him to cut it out but he doesn't budge from his place.
"You don't scare me." I mumble under my breath.
Luke's devious smile widens and he nears closer to the point where his breath tickles my ear.
"Keep telling yourself that, princess." he whispers in my ear before breaking the tension.
He leaves the room with an obnoxious laugh, leaving me aside with Calum and Michael. I shift my eyes at the path Luke walked in and glare.
"Are you sure he likes me? It seems like he hates me with a passion." I sigh, making the two laugh.
Calum stands up from his position and pats my back once more.
"Don't worry, he's trying to act tough to impress you.. that's all." Calum smirks.
I have a strange vibe that Luke overheard him, because he comes back into the room with a stern expression.
"So.. do we have our heading?" Luke asks expectantly.
I'm left to think about the mysterious location Peter could be talking about... Home? Besides Neverland? Where could that..
Wait a minute..
"San Fransisco.." I mumble.
"What?" they all shout in unison.
Flashbacks of Peter fantasizing about visiting that place come to mind. He of all people, dreamed of living in San Fransisco. No wonder I'm the only person he told that secret to. I really am the key to all his clues.
"Don't question, go wake up Ashton. We're leaving this morning." I command.
Michael and Calum scramble to their feet and leave the room in an instant. Luke on the other hand, is still here standing in front of me.
"California's a long way. We can't possibly collect that much pixie dust for the trip." Luke sighs.
"Well then. I guess you're going to have to embark on this journey without magic for once." I answer.
