"Here you go princess." Luke smiles, sprinkling pixie dust over me.
I close my nose between my fingers and feel myself slowly flying in the air. Closing my eyes I think of happy thoughts like Peter told me to so I can fly even higher.
I open my eyes again to see Luke's face close to mine. He has that stupid smirk of his spread across his face, making me melt inside.
Keep it together, Wendy. He's a jerk.
"Keep your distance, boy." Ashton laughs, pulling him by the ear.
I thank Ash with a grin and help Calum pack before we head out to find Peter. I look at all the clothes he's packed and remember that I'm literally dressed in only a flannel and a pair of boxers. Calum notices my situation and hands me a pair of his sweatpants and a black hoodie.
"Sorry about the wardrobe malfunction. I promise we'll buy you some clothes when we get to the mainland." he apologizes as he stares at my back while I change.
"Sorry, we're in a hurry and I can't fly to the restroom at the moment." I mumble, feeling all eyes on me.
Right away, I regret changing in front of them when I remove Calum's flannel.
"You guys are covering your eyes, right?" I ask, reassuring myself they're not staring.
"Uh huh." they say in unison.
Sure enough, when I'm done changing I see the four idiots staring at me with gaping mouths. Luke's the worst. He's drooling at me. Gross.
"Jesus christ." I mumble under my breath.
Ashton being the gentleman of the group, snaps out of it entirely and helps me tie my hair into a braid so that isn't all over the place. The others watch in awe as he finishes in a matter of seconds.
"If there's one thing I learned from the mermaids here, it's to braid hair." he chuckles, handing me a mirror.
After admiring the french braid Ashton did on me, I throw my arms around him and thank him. He nods sheepishly and the others watch in envy. Ignoring them, I fly over to Ashton yet again, who's busy looking at a map of the world.
"What's the plan?" I ask, looking at The strangely familiar map.
Ashton sighs into his hands and shrugs his shoulders.
"We'll be in London today that's for sure. We can rest for one night and start making our way to Cali but I'm not sure about our means to travel." he answers full of doubt.
"You guys act as if flying is the only way to travel." I snort, shaking my head with amusement.
"Well.. that's the only way we know how to travel.." Michael confesses with a frown.
His words slap me across the face and I remember that these guys have practically spent their entire lives here.
"We'll travel by airplane, it's okay." I assure the four boys.
"What the fuck is an airplane?" Michael blurts out.
My eyes grow ten times bigger when I hear his question. I look up to see Ashton and Calum also confused.
"It's a.. um.." I mumble, uneasily.
"It's a machine that flies." Luke answers, suddenly.
I chuckle at his description while the others gasp for air. It's like the three boys have just seen a unicorn. They're all jumping in the air in excitement.
"Off to London, my friends! Forget Neverland, I want to see a goddamn airplane!" Ashton exclaims as he races out of the house with his backpack and bag.
Calum and Michael trail behind, leaving me speechless with Luke. I shoot him a glare and he scratches his head with an uneasy smile.
"Too soon?" he asks with a nervous laugh.
I roll my eyes before I begin flying," You think?"
...
After what seems like an eternity, the five of us finally arrive to the mainland. The boys goof around and fly beneath the clouds to touch the ocean waters below us. Remaining high in the skies, I watch them splash water in each other's face and stifle a laugh.
They remind me of a couple of childish teenagers. I can't believe they're all older than me.
"Wendy, come down here!" Calum yells towards me.
I unwillingly fly lower where the boys are, only to be splashed with water by Luke. I scream at a high pitch from the ice cold water falling onto my clothes.
"Got you." Luke grins to the side.
"Ooh, Luke got you wet." Michael snorts, knowing exactly what the hell he just said.
"Why you little-" I grunt.
Before I do anything to either Luke or Mikey I notice a figure waving at us near a bridge just by the old house. Whoever it is, they seem to be ecstatic to see us flying towards them.
"Wait a minute." I mumble, flying towards the male.
The others call for me, but nonetheless, they follow me.
When I see who it is, I'm not sure if should be worried or jumping for joy or altogether just plain confused.
"Wendy!" he smiles, bringing me into an awkward hug.
"Harry?" I question, still hugging him back.
Who's Harry, you ask? Oh no one.. Just my crummy high school ex-boyfriend.
When the others land on the bridge, Luke's the first one to say something out of all of them.
"And who the fuck might you be?" Luke asks, staring right at Harry.
