Hanna's POV

Today is the day that Emily's mother is making her go to an ultrasound appointment.
Emily isn't happy about it whatsoever, but she knows she has to make sure her baby is safe.
We arrive at the hospital, and head inside.

"Alright, if you could just lie back and lift your shirt a bit." The doctor intructs, pulling a blue gel out of the cabinet.
"This may be a little cold..." He squirts the gel on the weird looking ultrasound thingy. He places it on her stomach and switches the screen on.
"And I think..." He freezes the screen when we see a small little bean in the middle of the frame, "That is your baby."
"Oh my god, that's a real baby Hanna!" She says excitedly and grabs my hand.
I smile at her and return my eyes to the screen.
Emily's mom is sitting next to her also, and she is mesmerized by what she's seeing.
All of a sudden, a loud thumping noise fills the room.
"That's the heartbeat." The doctor says and I see the glimmer in Emily's eyes.
She sets her head back and a tear slips from her eye.
I lean down and kiss her on the cheek while her mom isn't looking. She looks up at me and smiles weakly.
I almost melt to the floor when she brings my hand to her mouth and plants a soft kiss on the top of it.
"Alright, we're finished. Would you like me to print pictures?" The doctor asks.
"Yes please, that would be great." Emily says and wipes the gel off of her stomach.
"Okay, I'll be back shortly." He smiles and exits the room.
"I can't believe that just happened." Emily whispers and pats her belly.
My heart warms at her affection towards her baby.
The doctor re-enters the room and hand Emily her photos. He made three copies; one for all of us.
"Thank you so much." Mrs. Fields says and we leave the hospital.

"Em?" I ask emily while we're watching our favorite show, Parks and Recreation.
"Yes, Hanna?" She asks, not looking away from the screen. I wait a little bit to ask a big question.
I look down at my hands. I shouldn't have even opened my mouth. She isn't going to be ready.
"Han, what's wrong?" She asks, tilting my chin up with her finger.
"Nothing I... I just wanted to ask you when you were planning an telling the girls?" I cringe when she gets up quickly and shakes her head.
"No. I can't tell them yet." She says plain and simple.
"But when?" I ask, half impatient, and half desperate.
"Whenever I feel like it Hanna!" She snaps and I jump. I put my head in my hands and she sighs.
"Han, I'm sorry. I just don't think that's going to happen for a while." She sits next to me and leans her head on my shoulder.
"I understand, I shouldn't have asked. Just please don't shut them out. They love you just as much as I do, and I know they'll be hurt badly if you don't tell them soon." I say cautiously and she nods in agreement.
"So, speaking of the girls..." I say and Emily looks at me, "Aria wanted to know if we could kind of redo the dinner that you were supposed to be at last month. Only it would just be us five and no one else. You down?" I ask and she smiles.
"Yes, of course." She agrees and I leap for joy internally.
"Great." I dial back my excitement and inform her of the details. "It's tonight at six, and we're all supposed to meet in Spencer's barn." I explain and she nods.
"Well it's half past five, so we should go get ready." Emily stands up and grabs my hand, leading me upstairs.
I ignore the electricity in our fingers when they touch.

"Hey you guys! You both look beautiful!" Aria invites us inside.
"Thanks Ar." I say and hug her.
Emily decided on a simple black maxi skirt with a fitted red top and some gold jewelry.
I've worn a strapless royal blue dress, with yellow accents and my hair in a tight bun on the back of my head.
"Guys, you came! Em, are you feeling better?" Spencer greets us warmly and asks Emily.
She nods dismissively, and looks at the table that has been prepared full of food.
"Wow, this looks amazingly delicious you guys." She nods in recognition and Spencer thanks her.
"Shall we dig in?" Aria suggests and we all take our spots around the meal.
"Bon appétit!" Spencer raises her glass and we all clink them together.
