Emily's POV

I am awoken by one of my children.
I carefully separate Hanna and I's fingers and climb out of the bed to soothe my son.
"Ollie, shhhh." I pat him lightly on the bottom and whisper quietly in his ear. He eventually tones it down to a few coos here and there, but he doesn't fall back asleep.
I check the time on my phone, 4:30. Whatever, I'm not tired anymore.
I grab two bottles, the breast pump, and a blanket for Ollie.
I check to make sure he didn't wake up Quinn, and then I take him and go downstairs.
I sit down on the couch and start pumping milk for both babies.
I stick Quinn's in the freezer, and start feeding Ollie. He wraps his tiny hand around my thumb as he eats and I melt. He's the most handsome little boy I've ever seen.
I look into his big brown eyes and for a second, he's my son. Then the next second, I see Ben.
I can see Oliver growing up and looking exactly like his father. Him and Quinn won't even know they had a father until Hanna and I tell them. But will we tell them why their father isn't around? What he did to both of us? It's not like I'm going to keep it from our kids forever, they have the right to know why their father isn't a part of their life.
I sigh and forget about it. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Ollie finishes his bottle and I burp him. He finally falls asleep and I take him back upstairs.
"Emmy?" I hear someone whisper.
I jump and whip my entire body around.
"Jesus mom, you gave me a heart attack." I whisper back.
"Sorry, why are you up so early?" She asks, her hair a matted mess and her eyes still filled with sleep.
"Ollie was crying and I fed him, and I'm not tired enough to go back to bed." I explain and she nods.
"Coffee?"
"Sure, I'll be down in a second."
She walks out of the babies room and I look down at my kids. I watch their tummies rise and fall with every breath, and the way their arms and legs twitch subtly every now and then.
Movement across the hall catches my attention and I turn to see Hanna rolling over to the other side of the bed. Her arm extends and she seems to be looking for something. When she doesn't find anything she raises her head and whispers. "Em?" She was looking for me.
"I'm here." I rush across the hall to her and she smiles.
"What time is it? Why are you already up?" She wonders. I check the time and it's already 6:30.
"6:30. And I was feeding our son. Haven't been tired enough to fall back asleep." I explain again.
"Fuck it, I'll get up." She lifts her torso using her arms and stretches mightily, letting out a huge 'ahhhhh'.
"Mom's making coffee if you'd like a cup." I offer and she agrees. We both get dressed and head downstairs.
"Good morning girls. Hanna, what time do you have to work?" My mom asks.
"Eight. I asked to get moved back an hour so I could be paid more. All that's different is I open the shop instead of Ezra." She tells my mother who sets a cup of steaming brown liquid in front of her.
Mom hands me my coffee and I sip it slowly.
"Great. That's what time I should get going. I have to be in Philly at nine so I can just drop you off on my way?" She proposes.
"Sure, that would be good." Hanna agrees.
"Why are you going to Philly?" I question.
"I'm going on a business trip, I told you this. I'm going to the airport in Philly and then I'm flying to Atlanta for a meeting." She gestures beside the door and her luggage is sitting there.
"I don't remember you telling me this." I say in surprise and she shrugs.
"Need some help loading them?" I ask and don't wait for a reply as I gladly help her pack her things.
I'm going to have the house to myself for...
"How many days will you be gone?"
"At least a week."
at least a week.
I text Aria, Spencer, and Alison the news and they're all pumped.

Spencer: I'll bring the booze!
Alison: I call Quinn first!
Aria: Okay, I call Oliver. Then we'll switch back and forth.
Emily: Spence, I can't drink when I'm breastfeeding!
Spencer: Em, just pump some bottles in advance. That way, the alcohol won't be in the milk and you have fresh milk to feed them later.
Emily: Good idea!!
