Second Guessing

Chapter 14

Carmen's Point of View~

I ran back into the living room to see that no one was there. As I was looking around the place, I noticed that the curtains were blowing, bringing a cold breeze into the warm house. I walked towards the curtain to see that the door was open.

"Woah." I whispered as I noticed that there was a huge pool and a jacuzzi below. Not only that, the view was amazing! You could see pretty much majority of Los Santos from here, from the city to the sea and to the untouched land.

I stepped onto the balcony and walked down the stairs. Then I noticed that there was a level in between the main one and where they train. No wonder why there were no windows there. But how come I never noticed this? I always notice things like this.

There were windows there but they were the one way ones that reflected to the outside. I looked at the reflection and noticed a figure leaning onto the railing past the pool. I knew it was Vanoss by the shape of his body and the mask.

I was gonna leave until his voice stopped me.

"Carmen, I know you're there." He said, still looking ahead. Vanoss then turned around," What are you even doing?" He asked, his voice slightly suspicious.

"I saw the door open." I said." And decided to take a look around since I've never actually seen this."

All he said was "oh" and we stood there awkwardly, both of us looking around.

I knew this was a good time to apologise but I'm not the best person when it comes to that. And I hate apologising. I know that I have to but still.

"This is a nice view." I said and walked up to the railing. Vanoss stood alongside me and we looked at the amazing view. The sun was long gone and the sky was getting darker. All the lights were starting to turn on and the stars were becoming more visible in the sky.

"Yeah it is." He said." I never get tired of it."

I sighed." Vanoss look, I just want to apologise for making you angry back there." I muttered then it became silent again.

A few moment later, Vanoss spoke," And?"

"Hey, I'm not good at this okay." I said, receiving a light laugh from him." And I'm sorry for taking your mask off. That was out of line for me and I feel bad for doing it."

Is it mean that I lied about the last part? Well I do feel bad but I just don't regret it. I finally got to see him without a mask or sunglasses. But I feel like I still didn't see the real Vanoss. All I remembered was seeing anger.

"Apology accepted, just don't do that again. You got lucky back there." He said.

"I know." I whispered to myself and continued to look at the city.

The all of a sudden, there was a loud bang from inside the house that caught both our attention.

"Carmen?!?!" I heard Nogla yell.

Vanoss gave me a questioning look." What did you do?"

"Uhhh, nothing." I said sheepishly. Then Nogla and Moo came out to where Vanoss and I were. Nogla looked angry and Moo was smiling. It wasn't one of those creepy smiles, it looked goofy in fact. From that, I knew he wasn't angry but he found his situation back there quite funny.

At least I wasn't the only who found it funny

"What did you do?" Vanoss asked once again. Carmen backed up and turned around to see the boys were already there.

"She locked us into a room!" Nogla yelled.

"Only cause they were trying to find out something I refuse to tell." I said." But they held me down and tickled me!" I argued. Honestly, I wanted to laugh since we sounded so childish.
