I woke up the next day to music blasting downstairs-wait that doesn't make sense. I shot right out of my bed and grabbed a baseball bat from my closet. You can never be too careful. My body was feeling better now after that sleep. I walked downstairs normally since the music would muffle out the sound of my footsteps. The music was getting louder as I walked closer to the living room. My baseball bat was up and ready to hit whoever was in there.
When I walked into the living room, I instantly put the bat down and walked over to my stereo to turn it off.
"What the hell are you doing here? And how did you even get in here?" I asked Delirious, slightly pissed.
"Someone didn't wake up on the right side of the bed." He said and laughed at his own joke. When I raised the bat slowly, he stopped laughing." I was here to tell you that we gonna go off and see how good you are at shooting."
I gave him a really?-look." You could've of just waited for me to wake up and allow you to come in instead of you breaking in." I said, still pissed.
"I kept knocking but you didn't answer so I just let myself in by picking the lock. By the way, you're a very deep sleeper. I've been playing music for like thirty minutes." Delirious said.
I hate to admit but I was quite impressed that Delirious managed to break in. The locks on the door aren't you're usual locks and they're really hard to pick too.
Great, now I have to change my locks I said to myself and inwardly groaned.
I then locked over to the clock." Wow, I slept for a long time." I said as I noticed that it's almost twelve in the afternoon." Wait, we're gonna go shooting?" I asked, my voice slightly uneasy.
"Yup, then you and me are gonna go to a weapons deal tonight." Delirious said, oblivious to my uneasiness.
"Uh okay, I'll just go get ready." I said and walked upstairs.
I was afraid to turn it down, knowing that he was going to ask why. If I told them the truth, I don't know what will happen.
Time skip~
Delirious and I hopped out the car at same time. The car ride wasn't actually that bad, it was nice actually. He and I just kept talking about random stuff and getting to know each other more.
We were somewhere nearby the mountains where there were no trees or nature whatsoever. There was a table and a few dummies already set out ahead of us.
"So where's everyone else?" I asked as he went to the boot and got out a big duffel bag. I crossed my arms as the wind picked up and shivered. I wasn't sure if I was shivering from the breeze or my nervousness, knowing I have to use a gun.
"They're all at home." He said." They would've come too but they weren't well enough."
"Hangover?" I asked and he nodded." Figures."
Delirious then put a few guns and magazines onto the table. I don't exactly know the names of the guns but I do know that they're pistols, shotguns and snipers.
"You know how to use a gun?" He asked as he loaded a black shotgun.
"Yes." I said, my voice sounding dull. He then handed me the shotgun.
"Let's see how good you are." He said and motioned towards the closest dummy that was a few metres away.
I walked around the table with the gun still in my hand. It felt foreign holding it since it's been so long since I've held one. The last time I did was when Diana was teaching me how to use one which was a long time ago. She was surprised at how much I sucked at it, but then again it was the first time I was using a gun. But I quickly improved and became a natural at using it. Unfortunately.
