to my readers, thank you. over 100k words later, i finally present to you: folklore.
i truly cannot begin to express the immense gratitude i have to each and every one of you that has stuck around throughout this story (yes that means you!). every comment, like, and even view, has genuinely given me so much motivation––not just for this story, but as a writer in general. seeing you guys laugh, get emotional, and keep up with the story consistently is something i'm going to miss most from writing this. the community i've built here has been nothing but supportive, so to that, i thank you all.
i hope you guys enjoyed seeing the world of cousin's beach through my perspective, as much as i did writing it. again, all credit goes to jenny han for creating this wonderful universe and these dynamic characters that i've gotten to play with, and hopefully you've fallen in love with my versions of them, too.
i don't want to ramble for too long, but i seriously cannot understate how grateful i am for all of my readers. i hope to write again for you guys soon, when the muse strikes me (please, feel free to leave future fic suggestions/requests!)
so for the final time, thank you. thank you, thank you, thank you.

sweet tea in the summer
cross your heart won't tell no other
and though i can't recall your face
i still got love for you.
your braids like a pattern
love you to the moon and to saturn
passed down like folk songs
the love lasts so long
