(I'm trying a new writing style and I will be adding some headcannons btw I got inspiration from learning to be human by rikzy on Ao3, one of the many stories I recommend. I also recommend rise of a king by risewriter21)
It was a calm, quiet night for most but in the noceda residence, sleep schedules don't exist for most. In the shared, unique siblings room the light shined a light gold that illuminated the room as all the siblings did their own thing.
Luz, king and Hunter were playing Nintendo: Mario kart, vee was texting her partner Masha while the collector was sleeping next to king with François . there was a joyous atmosphere among them all as they all continued their respective activities but it wasn't to long till that atmosphere started to fade as the light bulb flicked till its light evaporated, leaving only the rainbow road to illuminate the area.
King:weh?
Hunter:what happened to the light?
Luz:oh it's just the light bulb, it probably ran out of power.
Hunter:how do we fix it?
Luz:we just have to go to the store tomorrow and get a new one.
Hunter:why not go now?
Vee:it's too late to go now and I don't think the store will be open at 11pm, so for now we'll just have to use something else as light.
King:or someone else.
Luz, vee and Hunter:huh?
Before they could question the young titan, the fluffy creature gently shook the star child that slept peacefully next to him. Once the celestial's eyes started to flutter open, a blinding yellow light radiated the star child and illuminated the room making light peek through the curtains and spill onto the street.
Luz:AHH! MY EYES! I THINK IM BLIND!
collector:huh? What-s... going on?
The collector yawned before turning their head to the titan that woke them up and a suffering Luz before looking up at the light bulb and rubbing their eye.
Collector:what happened to the light?
Vee:it's out of power.
Collector:thats weird.
The collector groggily giggled.
Hunter:I thought you didn't need sleep?
Collector:I don't, but as someone once told me "...it's sometimes nice to kinda take a break from everything and have a bit of a routine."
Hunter:makes sense- Luz!
The grimwalker yelled as the human threw a blue shell at his Luigi kart, letting her now win and become first place making king and collector both laugh.
Luz:what? Can't accept the fact I'm better at this?
Hunter:I'm going to sleep.
Hunter got up and walked till he reached one of the beds and flopped on it while vee put her phone down and slithered to the top bed.
Luz:I guess ur right, come on you two.
Luz got up from the floor and walked to the bottom bed and pulled the blanket over herself while the collector created a glittery, light purple cloud to sleep on which king happily jumped onto and layed next to them.
As they all closed their eyes the illuminating warm light disintegrated like the light bulbs power.

As They got ready, camila had the idea that they all go together as she also needed to pick up a few things from the market. The group all wore a variation of outfits, Hunter wore a black wolf hoodie and baggy jeans, Luz wore blue overalls, a purple hoodie and black fingerless golves, collector wore an oversized pink rabbit hoodie with long sleeves and long starry, baggy purple-blue trousers with their hair put in pigtails while vee shifted into her usual look but her outfit was a Halloween themed jumper, ankle warmers and jeans.
The only one who didn't change their outfit was king as he had an illusion on to make him look more human.
Now that they were all ready they went inside camila's car while camila drove to the store.

Camila:mija, i need to pick up a few things but i need you to make sure that you and the others don't get kicked out again or use any magic.
Luz:don't worry mama, you don't have to worry about us we'll be fine.
Camila:just promise me you'll stay safe.
Luz:I promise, mom.
Camila:aw, look at how much you've grown.
After kissing Luz's head, camila walked from the kids to the grocery section of the store while the kids started walking past all the aisles to get to the hardware section.
King:why couldn't we have gone to the bigger store with all the lights and water?
Luz:do you mean the mall?
King:yeah! That place!
Luz:well, we only need a lightbulb and some things mom needs to pick up, so there wouldn't really be a point. Buuuut you and collector can go see if there's a toy section.
King:yes! A place that is loafed by every king! Let's go!
Luz:but you have to promise me not to use magic.
King and Collector:we promise.
And with that the disguised titan dragged the star child away from the group and to the direction of the toy aisle while vee, Hunter and Luz walked until they arrived at their destination.
Vee: what type of bulb did you say was needed?
Luz:a B22 A60.
Hunter and vee:huh?
Luz, face palming: just get the one that looks like a globe.
And with that the trio began searching every shelf for the bulb, they even had to compare two leading them to contemplate life until they finally found the correct one.
Vee:finally, we found it.
Luz: and it only took us... 26 MINUTES! That took way longer than I expected!
Hunter: well, now we just pay for it.
As the three waited in line the heard a a sound so high pitched that they could barely hear it but managed to hear a: "WEEEEE-"
Luz, Hunter and vee:huh?
After paying for the bulb all three of them walked out of the store only to see king and collector sitting in a shopping cart that zoomed around the parking lot only to stop when they notice their older siblings walking towards them.
Luz:did you seriously think you could drive in a shopping cart around a car park.... with out us!
The two young children looked up at the human as the disguised basilisk and grimwalker jumped into the cart while Luz also started getting in the cart.
Luz:I'll pay you both if u can take us all the way back home.
And with that the cart went flying out of the car park and all the way to the noceda residence where all five of them layed on the grass until camila came home.
