A bit of angst I guess. Inspiration from: learning to be human.
"Why are we here again king?"
It was 7 in the morning and because everyone in the demon realm and human realm even vee was busy! But hey who knew that the park would have so many kids in the early hours of the morning? And who knew it would be so easy to sneak to the park?(king did)
King:because everyone is busy so I decided to do something so then we don't get bored .
King put his head up high with pride.
Collector:ugh! I hate being bored!
The star child groaned and sighed before their bored expression melted away as their pupils and the stars in their eyes expanded and a smile appeared on their face.
Collector:so does that mean can we play!?
King:well, obviously! But like Luz said we can't use our magic out in public.
Collector: got it!
The celestial child saluted before dragging king to the swings. They both decided to play pretend where they were harpy's like Eda and everything went fine! Collector just nearly levitated once and king only nearly almost got his and collector's concealment stone's knocked off once but apart from that everything went fine!
Just as king went down the slide, a group of kids that looked the same age as them approached them.
There were two girls, two boys. One girl wore a yellow dress with her brunette hair in pigtails she also had freckles while the other girl wore blue overalls and her hair was in braids and she had a gap in her teeth. One of the boys had blonde hair and wore a oversized jumper and sweatpants while black glasses rested on the bridge of his nose while the other boy had red hair and was wearing a blue and white short sleeved shirt and black shorts.
Peter:hi there! Im Peter! The one with the glasses is Oliver, the one with the braids is ruby and the one with the pigtails jade, we saw you playing by yourself and wanted to play!
Collector:Hi! I'm -uuuhhhhh COLLIE! And this is my brother and best friend, king!
Peter:those are cool names! Do u want to play?
Collector:Absolutely!
Peter: okay! Race you to the climbing frame!
The group of kids ran to the direction of the climbing frame, collie went to chase them but only to fall onto the ground as something pulled them back by the neck of their clothes while king looked down at them.
King: Collector, I don't know don't you think it's a bit weird that they just randomly came up to us?
Collector:king, think about it they probably saw that we were having a lot of fun and wanted to join us!
King:and if it's a trap?
Collector:then we can leave as fast as we came.
King:you mean 'you' can, cause I'm not going. Have fun though.
Collector:mmhn, okay...
And with that collector followed the other kids to the climbing frame while king walked to the vortex.
First the vortex
Then the carousel
Then the nest swing
Then the orbitor
Next the tram tracks
After that was the forest stack
It has been 55 minutes and king still hasn't seen collector since they went to go play with the other kids, it was starting to worry the disguised titan so he climbed at the top of the litcham to spot the celestial. The moment he saw a small figure with white hair move towards the playground he knew who it was.
King rapidly climbed down from the litcham and towards the direction of the star child but his pace started to slow down when he noticed that celestial child was drenched and was clutching onto François as if he might return to nothing.
King:what happened?
Collector:oh! King! It was nothing, I just fell into a puddle.
King:Collector, buddy, I have been your friend for four years and all I have to say is that you're terrible at lying.
Collector:...
King:so, what happened?
Collector:I-I thought.. I thought they wanted to be my f-friend and we were playing then they told me to follow-w them to the creek so I did, when... when we got to the creek they told me that they saw us do m-magic and wanted me to show t-t-them. I did what you told me to a-and told them no but then they pushed me into the creek, I-I accidentally dropped François and before I could pick him up they took him and started throwing him to each other but when it reached jade I.... I kicked her but I didn't mean to send her into a tree!
Before king knew it collector broke down into tears, not knowing what to do king crept towards collector before enveloping them in a hug while being cautious just in case they accidentally summoned something or used their magic.
King: it's okay bud, you don't need those stinky losers you have me! I wouldn't do that to you, and I have a little idea.
Collector:*sniff* and w-what's that?
King:we give them a few surprises, hehehe...
The tiny titan laughed lifting a rock to show a bunch of tiny spiders while the star child took a step back from tiny arachnids that were crawling up their friends arm.
Collector: ewww, it's perfect!
King:but not good enough, you can read minds right?
Collector:yup!
King:so can you see their fears?
Collector:yup! Already one step ahead of you! Oliver hates mud, Peter is scared of bugs, ruby is scared of dogs and jade is scared of the dark.
King:perfect, follow me.
The duo crept behind the bench and towards the kids bags they carried mud, spiders and leaves before pouring them into all the bags and sneaking away and hiding behind a tree, watching as the kids walked to their bags while jade's mum took her bag picked up jade and ran.
In the distance the duo could see the three kids start to scream and run from their bags while spiders crawled on them causing king and collector to laugh before walking away from the park and all the way back to the portal door and to the owl house.
The moment they got inside the owl house, they both collapsed onto each other and stayed like that until they fell asleep like a cat and dog.
