"So why did you do it?" he asked me.

I ran as fast as I could, then I reached the main gate. I climbed it, making swift and quick movements.

I looked up at him with dead eyes, "The world isn't always fair you know? But I shouldn't even ask you, because there's no way you'd know..."

I could hear the dogs and guards running after me. My lungs started to hurt, my heart of ice beat fast and deep in my chest.

"Well then can you explain to me what's unfair, because clearly I don't know." he gave me a sharp glare. And a harsh smile spread across his lips.

Life isn't fair, its full of rejection, regret, sadness. People often live empty lives, they're like robots. Some are programmed to say exactly what you want to hear. So they never tell you the truth, unless their hiding behind you. Their sharp glare and nasty words hit your back not your ears.

"Why don't I just tell you why it is fair? That would a so much fucking easier." He looked at me with a softer expression.

I tripped, I fucking tripped. And I couldn't get back up in time, so I layed there with a broken bone and a empty soul. A cold heart that made me crave constant warmth.

He simply looked at me, as if he was waiting for an answer. "If you must know, there's nothing I've found to be fair in life."

Not even a optimist could find one thing that made life worth waiting the harsh reality. Being pushed around, rejected by those you've tried to love. It all failed without warning.

"Well maybe you just gave up to easily, without looking far enough. You can never know what's on the other side of mountain, unless you climb it." He gave me a kind smile. I couldn't believe my ears, my eyes were wide, my jaw was opened slightly.

But my heart...my ice cold heart...the one I trained to be strong, tough and rough around the edges..it warmed up the slightest.

I miss Hiro, he was the best. His blonde fluffy head made me smile, he looks just like Hana. (｡･ω･｡) Anyways that was off topic hehe, I do hope you've enjoyed this onesho and... HAVE A GOOD ONE!
