Late Night Kisses- Rin X Reader

Letting out a heavy sigh I take a glance at the clock, 12:05. "He's late again..." I whisper in the deafening silence. I stand up from the couch and walk into the kitchen, a single plate of the best I could cook is carefully awaiting to be eaten. I rap the now cold meal in foil and place it in the fridge along with some other missed dinners.

While passing through the hallway my eyes land on our wedding photo, Rin was smiling widely with his arms wrapped around me. He'd be so excited and overjoyed, that he'd even ran us both out of the chapel. A small laugh escaped my lips, "Rin you really are something." I hold up my hand so my fingers can trace his smiling face.

He's out there doing his best to make the world a better place. "So that you'll grow up with a beautiful world." I whisper and rub my growing belly. I waddle into the bedroom, I get under the covers and dream about tomorrow.

Rin gets home around 1:32am, tired he runs his finger through his hair. "Damn it I'm late for dinner again, I need to get the chief off my ass..." He mumbles angrily. Throwing his shoes at the doorstep, he let out a sigh knowing that Y/n would pick them up. He picked them up and placed them neatly before heading into the kitchen.

Right on top of the counter was a note, "Welcome home! :) I made dinner, just heat it up. Me and jellybean went to bed, goodnight Rin...We love you!"
He smiled and headed upstairs, where he found Y/n and (baby's name) sleeping soundly. He quietly walks over to plant a kiss on her forehead, then he crouches down to her bulging belly and softly caresses (baby's name). He closes his eyes and places he nose on her belly "Don't you worry, I'll make the world better just for you."
