I woke up on Saturday not really wanting to be in the house.

I got up from my bed and walked into the bathroom taking my phone with me. To wake myself up, I splashed myself with water. I sat down on the toilet, expecting to sit on top of the seat. That's when I came to the realization that one of my brothers left the seat up.

I opened the door in frustration, "Oh my god, can you guys learn to leave the damn seat down?" I yelled down the hall way towards the boys room. I was so ready to move into this new apartment my mom was helping me pay for.

I lowered the seat and sat down as I reached for my phone to call Normani. After the phone rang a few times, I hung up because I hated hearing Normani's voicemail.

Walking over to the sink, I looked up at the mirror and thought to myself, damn I'm cute. That's when I picked up my brush and began to do my hair. I decided to go with a braid in the front that led up into a pony tail, because honestly I didn't feel like dealing with it.

After I brushed my teeth and everything I sat in the bathroom, back on top of the toilet seat and began to scroll down my Twitter feed. But just as I started, my phone lit up and I saw it was a call from Normani.

"Hey girl, you call?" She asked.

"Obviously." I said with a playful attitude, and she laughed.

"No seriously, what's up? What you doing?" She said, not losing the excitement that was in her voice before my sarcastic comment.

"Currently, hogging the bathroom. Please rescue me Mani, I can't stay in this house today." I pleaded.

With a small chuckle, she began "Ha, yeah sure Dinah. I'll be over in 30, you'll be ready?"

"Yes!" I started, a little too happy. "I mean, I'll be in sweatpants more than likely, and I'll just bring other clothes in case we decide to do something."

"Okay," she said. "Sounds good. See you in a few."

I hung up the phone, very excited that I wouldn't have to stay in the house all day. Ever since my boyfriend and I broke up, I never really do much. Normani is still very much so in a relationship, and now that we can't do our double dates, I only catch her spare time. Luckily for me, on my extra bored day, Arin was out of town for the weekend.

I walked out of the bathroom and downstairs to tell my mom that I was leaving when Mani came, already dressed and bag in hand. I'm not sure why though, my mom is always so obsessed with my youngest brother Seth she never really notices me.

Taking my key off of the kitchen table, I walked out of the house and locked the door. I saw Normani pull up in her blue mustang that I saw was still wet from a fresh wash.

"Hey!" I greeted her, as I opened the door of her car. She drove a 2014, but her parents totally treated her right and got in decked out for her graduation gift.

"Hi, they let you slip away again? Don't the boys have games today?" She asked curiously as we bagged out of the drive way.

"Of course, but I can catch the dweebs any day." I said smiling. "Plus, you obviously have some plans. You don't just get her all cleaned up for nothing."

"If by her you mean my car, I just thought she needed a cleaning." She lied, her intentions obvious.

"Now Mani, you and I both know" she cut me off,

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have plans. So what?" She strugged as we turned on the street her house was on. She didn't live far, I could walk here honestly.

"Do they involve me?" I asked, really hoping that they did.

"Of course they do, I can never leave out my main." She smiled, while playfully pushing my shoulder.
