It was Tuesday, and it had been 3 days since Normani and I, or Ally and I had talked.

I didn't tell anybody about what I saw besides Lauren. She listened to me, and said she couldn't believe that Normani would have done that to me. I left out the part about Ally telling me, because the more I got to know Lauren, I realized she got really crazy over those she cared about.

Today was the day that Lauren was being released from the hospital, and while I was still going to be in school, Camila assured me that I could stop by.

My senior classes ended at 1, but today they seemed to drag on.

Briannah was in my English class and I saw her walk over towards me with the goofiest smile on her face.

"Hey DJ, what's up?" she asked.

"Hey Bri." I said eyeing her as she sat down.

"Are you happy? I'm happy." She said full of nostalgia.

Laughing at her, I said "You're even more crazy today. I'm not sure if I can deal with this." I admitted.

"You'd be happy too." She replied.

"Oh is there a new boy?" I asked. "Is he, you know?" I said in a very teasing but also very suggestive tone.

"Why is your mind always in the gutter Dinah Jane?" she joked.

"Well, when you leave me to assume what do you expect?"

"I'll tell you." She said. "But you should already know."

I stared at her blankly, and she raised her eye brow at me and then made a face that was playfully annoyed. "Seriously?" She asked.

"It's the first game of the season tonight!" she exclaimed, causing the rest of the class to look at us.

"Ms. Mariner, Ms. Hansen, please keep your volume at a low roar."

Our teacher never cut the two of us slack. English came easy to Bri and she always helped me if I needed it. In response to our luck, we never payed attention in class, and occasionally skipped it.

"Sorry Mr. Miller." She said.

"I forgot." I admitted.

"It's against Guston. They're really good." She started.

"Isn't that where that girl goes? And she's like 6'5?" I asked, remembering the game from last year.

"That's the one!" she said smiling.

"Psh, good luck." I laughed.

"No! Don't say that! We can win!" I rolled my eyes at her oblivion. "Seriously, you should come. Hell, you should play." She said and my eyes grew wide at her ridiculous statement.

"Yeah right Bri." I said.

"Oh come on Dinah. You're so tall." She said.

"I'm not 6'4!" I explained.

"Neither am I! I still play."

"Yeah, but you've been playing forever. I'm nowhere near athletic." I admitted.

"You know what? I could teach you. And plus imagine how many people would come to the games." She told me.

"Why would people come to the games? To watch me ride the bench?"

"I might tell coach to sit me down and put you in just because. Do you know how much people would pay to see Dinah Jane Hansen walk around in volleyball tights?" she joked.

"Dude, you're so gay." I laughed, pushing her on the arm.

"Fine then, I'd settle for you just coming."
