Chapter Nine: The Finals - Part One

Yubel's POV 
Jaden  and Alexis approached the duel field with confidence. We only have a few days until Jaden and the others graduate  and move on with their lives. I have a feeling something will happen with Jaden and Alexis. Nothing has forwarded their relationship  in a while. Jaden has been way to busy to think about their relationship. He's been way to serious but I hope his attitude will return to what it was.

Jaden needs to realize that he can go back to having fun when dueling. That evil Zorc is gone.. At least i hope.

DUEL POV

Crowler jumps onto the stage and thrusts the microphone to his mouth. "Here we are, At the Annual Duel Academy Anniversary Finals!! Now this duel will be different than the others. Each teammate will recieve 2000 lifepoints. Once both of your opponents lose all their lifepoints your team wins. Now lets duel!!" Crowler jumps off the stage.

Jaden: (2000 LP)

Alexis: (2000 LP)

Aster: (2000 LP)

Zane: (2000 LP)

Aster: Ill kick off this duel. (draw) I summon Destiny Hero Captain Tenacious! (Atk: 800) Next ill set a facedown and end my turn.

Alexis: Im up next! (draw) I special summon from my hand the Frost Giant in attack mode! (Atk: 1900) This monster can be special summoned when i control no monsters on my field but you control a monster. Then i summon Blizzard Falcon! (Def: 1500) Next ill end my turn with a facedown.

Jaden: Good move Lex. 

Jaden smiles to Alexis.

Alexis: Thanks. 

Jaden's POV

Zane stood in front of me as Aster stood before Alexis. Aster doesnt have much on his field but Alexis has quite abit of a defense. Yubel's voice rings in my mind. "Jaden, dont forget why you duel, you duel for fun. Thats what dueling is about." 

I smile at Yubel's advice. Thats right. Thats what dueling is about, having fun. Even if we lose this battle it was an amazing one. But i wont lose because i am now the King of Games.

DUEL POV

Zane draws a card from his deck. 

Zane: I special summon my Cyber Dragon. (Atk: 2100) Next I activate the Cyber Reactor spell card. It allows me to summon a "Cyber" monster from my extra deck. I remove Captain Tenacious to summon to my field Cyber End Dragon. (Atk: 4000)

Jaden: Oh man. 

Alexis gasps.

Aster: Hey Zane, Next time ask before you use my monster. Your going to leave me defenseless. 

Zane: It doesnt matter. All that matters is that we win. So ill use what i like Aster.

Aster: Fine. But ill do the same.

Jaden: Its my turn! (Draw) I summon Neo-Spacian Air Hummingbird in defense mode! (Atk: 800) Next his effect allows me to gain 500 points for every card in your hand Zane. Thats Four. (4000 LP) Next i end my  turn with two facedowns. 

Jaden stares at Cyber End Dragon as Aster begins his turn.
