Yesterday was History

John's POV

I can't sleep. I felt terrible, I shouldn't have said the things I said to Katy. I was just so frustrated about work, I just had to take it out on her.

I desperately wanted to be cuddled up with Katy right now, but she was probably still mad at me.

I sighed and looked at my phone. 2:30 AM. I put it back down and tried to get some sleep, but it just didn't happen. My thoughts kept me awake.

Katy didn't deserve that at all and I just had to be an ass. Maybe she was still up? It wouldn't hurt to look. I got out of bed and quietly tip toed to her room.

I opened her door trying to be as quietly as possible and saw her sleeping peacefully. She's so beautiful. As I got closer to her I noticed that her mascara was smeared and her eyes were a little puffy, she'd been crying.

My heart was slightly breaking. I made her cry, it killed me to see her like this. I got up and went back to the quest room. I couldn't stand to see her like that. I got up and looked at her one last time. "I'm so sorry" I whispered before walking out and going back to the guest room. I need to apologize to her and fix all this.

I woke up the next morning, the sun blinding my eyes as I quickly shut them. I sat up and stretched causing me to yawn loudly.

I looked at my phone seeing it was 9:30 in the morning. Knowing Katy she wouldn't be up yet so I took my chance to go downstairs and make my morning coffee. I hope when she did wake up things wouldn't be awkward.

I walked into the kitchen and accidentally stepped on Kitty's tail causing her to hiss at me and running away. Oops.

I got the coffee beans from the cabinet and put it the coffee maker. I got out a mug from the dishwasher and waited patiently for my coffee.

When it was done I poured the hot liquid into my cup and sat down on the diner table. Right when I sat down Katy walked in. She looked perfect. I hope she wasn't mad.

I watched her as she poured herself a glass of orang juice, not looking at me once. She put the juice pack into the fridge and walked out and went into the living room.

Ok so she was still mad. I ran my free hand through my hair trying to think how I could fix this. Honestly I'm scared of Katy when she's upset. She can be really snappy and I don't want to argue with her anymore.

I took a sip of my coffee when I heard the TV turn on. I sighed. Come on John man up. I thought to myself. I just need to go in there and explain to her why I was upset last night. I took a deep breath and stood up, right when I took my first step Katy walked in walking right past me.

She put her glass in the sink while rinsing it and putting it in the dish washer, still not looking or talking to me.

"Katy" I sighed.

She stopped her actions, but wouldn't look at me. I knew she was listening though.

I walked closer to her but she took a step back causing me to sigh.

"Baby I'm so sorry, I shouldn't have said those things to you. You didn't deserves that. I was just so frustrated in the studio and I put it on you. I'm sorry" I said hoping she'd understand.

She finally looked at me, her eyes were a difference shade of blue, kinda like a blue/ grayish color. She sighed and said something.

"I'm sorry too baby" she said walking closer to me and putting her hands on my chest as I wrapped mine around her waist. I'm glad that I got to hold her again. I needed her and she needed me.

"I love you" I whispered and slowly kissed her forehead, lingering my lips there for a minute.

She looked up at me and pecked the side of my mouth. "I love you" she said.

I put my thumb on her cheek gently stroking the side of her face. "I hate fighting with you" she said in a sad tone.

"Same here" I looked into her beautiful blue eyes. I never wanted to look away, God she was so perfect.

"Let's agree not to argue over something stupid anymore" she giggled.

"I promise baby" I said kissing her cheek and running my fingers threw her long hair.

She smiled up at me and pulled away. "I'm hungry" she said causing me to chuckle.

"What do you want?" I asked as I pulled her back into to me

"Eggs and fruit please" she tapped my nose.

I pecked her lips three times before pulling away. "Alright it will be ready in 5 minutes, now go sit your cute little butt down" I teased.

"Do you want some help?" She asked causing me to raise my eyebrow.

"No babe, I don't think burning the house down would be a good idea" I said causing her to roll her eyes at me and walking away. I ran up to her and wrapped my arms around her waist while turning her around.

"I'm only kidding, come on you can prepare the fruit" I took her hand leading her back into the kitchen making her giggle.

"Hmm so Mayer does need my help after all" she teased, getting out the cut up pineapple and watermelon out of the fridge.

"Don't get to cocky Ms. Hudson, your only doing the basics" I said flipping the eggs on the pan.

She just giggled and crinkled her nose. "Your cute when you do that" I said smirking.

"Your cute in general" she grinned putting the fruit in a bowl.

"I know" I said grabbing two plates and placing the eggs on the plate.

"Here you go my love" I said handing her her plate and sitting next to her.

"Thank you darling" she said sweetly and we both ate.

The rest of the day we enjoyed each other's company and talking more about the future, it was really nice. Katy and I were meant to be together. We shouldn't let some stupid argument get in the way of our love.
