John's POV

"Oh babe this looks nice" Katy said as she lent against the doorway with her arms crossed, examining the room.

I gave her a slight smile as I crawled down the ladder from where I was painting and walked towards Katy. "Thanks, I think he's going to love it" I said as I wrapped my arm around Katy's waist. She looked up at me, nodding in agreement as she smiled that breathtaking smile of hers.

We both looked around the babies nursery admiring every detail. The walls were painted a soft cloudy blue along with black shelves filled with stuffed animals. The crib was black as well, placed on the opposite side off the room. Next to it there we placed a white rocking chair. We weren't quit done yet, but we were getting there.

Katy of course was in charge of were the stuff were placed. She was quit picky, but had good taste. Last week we went last minute shopping for the baby. We picked out clothes and shoes, the crib, car seat, diapers, baby toys, stuff like that. I also had to baby proof the house.

Preparing for this baby was hard, but it will be worth it. Katy was now 8 and a half months. She's getting closer and closer to her due date and its scary. Having a baby is a lot of hard work, but I'm gonna try to be the best dad.

"I think something missing" Katy said while resting her head on my shoulder.

"Yeah the baby" I chuckled making Katy roll her eyes playfully and giggle.

"Hmm maybe your right" She giggled and rubbed her large belly. I kissed her cheek and wrapped my arm around her neck pulling her closer.

"I'm so excited" she said as she nuzzled her head in the crook of my neck and left a small kiss there.

"I am too, I'm kinda scared too" I admitted making Katy turn to face me and give me a sympathetic look.

"Honestly I am too" she said softly putting her hand on my cheek while stroking it softly.

"It will all be worth it though, plus it will be practice for when we have more kids" I chuckled making Katy raise her eyebrow at me.

"I think one is good for now"

"Alright" I smiled and pecked her lips quickly.

"It's getting late, let's finish up tomorrow" Katy said grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the babies room into ours.

"You mean let me finish?" I chuckled making Katy giggled.

"It's always better working independently anyways" she says while getting comfortable on the bed.

"True, but I do enjoy your company" I smirked crawling next to her and wrapping her around my arms.

"I know, your eyes never seem to leave my body" she teased.

"Well did you see what your wearing?" I asked grinning. She looked down and gave me a questioning look.

"I'm just wearing sweats and a tank top?"

"Yeah but your straps kept falling when you were helping me paint earlier" I chuckled. Even for being pregnant, she is the most attractive woman ever.

"Your daddy is a perv you know that?" Katy said to her belly causing me to chuckle.

"Your mine I can stare" I smirked pulling her closer to me so we were face to face. She bit her lip, her big beautiful blue eyes staring back into my caramel ones.

"Is that so?" She asked tracing her finger along my jawline to my lips.
