Light had a diary in his drawer. He wasn't even sure why he had one. But something had occurred to him. What good was a diary, seemingly precious according to the lock on the drawer, if it was empty? Light needed to write something in it, if it were to have any meaning. Maybe it would help him catch Kira, if he restated things on paper.
'Dear Diary,'
He crossed that out. How cliché. He wrote the date at the top of the paper instead.
~
(A few weeks later)
'I went out with Misa today. She got jealous because our barista was somewhat pretty and she dared to look at me.
What a capital offense.
I know Misa is just protective of me because- let's face it- I'm good-looking as well as extremely smart, and popular as well. However, she can be a little overbearing at times, and I really hope she won't start going through my phone. I wouldn't put it past her, honestly.
Aside from that, today has consisted of going over data at the base with Ryuzaki while he eats an absurd quantity of sweets. Nothing new to report; we haven't had a breakthrough yet. I know Ryuzaki suspects me to be Kira, but that's ridiculous. I'm not Kira! I would never kill all of those people! Even if a few of them might have deserved it, for their crimes.
Oops, that sounds like something Kira would say. Oh well, it's just my opinion. I bet a lot of people secretly somewhat agree with Kira's view, even if they don't agree with his/her means.
Anyway, not much to report. I should really study for my classes, but I just don't find them to be as important as catching Kira. My dad, of all people, should understand that. Besides, when I catch Kira, I'll use the reward to pay back my dad for all of the wasted money spent on enrolling in classes I didn't even attend.
Bye for now,
Light'
Sighing in discontent, Light contemplated the case. Kira could give anyone a heart attack with just a face and a name. Control time of death, to a certain extent, and even the circumstances surrounding the death. Kira lived in the Kanto region of Japan, might possibly be a student, and was able to get into private police files without being traced. These were all things that L had told him. But who could it be? Aside from himself, of course. He wasn't Kira.
Light gave up and went out, headed for the base again. Maybe L had figured something out while he was out with Misa.
It was only when he was halfway there that he realized his diary was still firmly in his grasp. Scorning himself for being so oblivious, he merely tucked the book in his jacket and continued down the path. He didn't want to waste any time going back for the sake of a silly notebook.
~
"Hello, Light-kun. Back again?" L asked, as he took the other seat in front of the huge screen.
"Did you come up with something?" Light asked, impatient to get back to work. L shook his head, frowning.
"Not yet. How's Misa? Matsuda was concerned for her health." He asked conversationally. Light huffed in frustration.
"Maybe he should just date her then!" L looked up from his slice of cake, a look of surprise on his face. Light sighed.
"I apologize for my outburst. Please keep this between us."
"It's fine, Light. If you don't mind me asking, what caused you to say that? I'll keep it between us, whatever it is, and I can listen quietly if you need to rant. I won't judge." L offered. Light noticed for the first time, with surprise, the silky shine of L's hair. He half-wanted to touch it, just to see if it was as soft as it looked. He shook off that thought- really, Light? Why are you thinking about this? And specifically, why him? Who suspects you to be an abhorrent criminal mastermind? That wouldn't seem weird at all. Definitely not suspicious. "Hey, Ryuzaki, can I feel your hair?" That's just creepy.- and remembered that L was still waiting for an answer.
"Thanks, but... I'd feel bad talking about her behind her back. And besides, we should just focus on the case." Light replied, and L nodded.
"If you change your mind at any time, I'll listen. Because I don't think she really makes you happy. You seem happier when she leaves." L said. Light stared at him. Why was he suddenly being so nice?
"She doesn't make me happy, it's true. She loves me, but I just don't want to hurt her by telling her that I don't feel the same way." Light admitted. L nodded, looking back at the screen and eating another forkful of cake.
"Do you think she would be better off knowing? Would telling her now be better than waiting?" Light found himself asking.
"That depends. Of course, waiting to tell the truth is never a good thing, but... Is there another reason you want to break up with her? If there isn't, there is a 36% chance she'll be more hurt." L replied thoughtfully, munching on his cake.
"What do you mean? What other reasons could there be?" Light asked.
"You said she doesn't make you happy. Does she make you unhappy?" Light shook his head.
"I don't care one way or another if she's in the room. It doesn't change much."
"Do you have someone else in mind to date instead?" L asked. Light shook his head.
"Then, don't break up with her until you do. She'll be 29% more likely to understand why you want out of the relationship." Light sighed.
"I guess you're right. But I don't know when I'll get the opportunity to like someone else. I'm always either at home, here, or with Misa. I'd rather not string her along if I can help it." L shrugged.
"I don't know what to tell you, except that anyone would be lucky to have you, if you care this much about the feelings of a girl you don't even love." L looked up into Light's eyes with an adorable expression on his face.
Wait, ADORABLE???
Light wanted to slap his own face. Why did he keep having weird thoughts about L? I mean, yes, L was a weird guy, who was meant to provoke weird thoughts, but this was getting a little too peculiar for Light to handle.
"Thanks, I guess." Light said awkwardly, and focused intensely on the computer screen. He tried not to be aware of L watching him instead of the screen, and really intensely tried not to blush, but unfortunately, his cheeks betrayed him.
"Light-kun, are you coming down with a fever? Your face looks red." L asked. Light didn't look at him as he said:
"No, I don't think so. Maybe it's the lighting in here." L didn't sound convinced.
"Alright then."
Light tried desperately to understand what was going on with his brain. Why was he blushing and thinking about L's cute, pale face? L IS NOT CUTE WHY IS HE EVEN THINKING THAT????!!!!
Does he like L? L, of all people? Why couldn't he be blushing at the thought of Misa's pretty face? Why was he thinking about L anyway? L was convinced that he was Kira. That's probably why he was staring at Light just now.
He glanced at his watch. It was one in the morning. He heard a soft snore, and looked up to see L lying slumped on the desk, face mushed adorably against the wood, sound asleep. Light smiled softly at this, then scolded himself for it. Why was he acting so mushy and soft? He was supposed to be a bright young detective-in-training, one of the very ones hunting possibly the most dangerous criminals in the world.
Light sighed before pulling out his diary again. Maybe venting these feelings would help him get rid of them.
'I've been feeling some really weird things as of late. I get all soft around Ryuzaki and I blush a lot more, and I keep finding myself thinking that he's "cute" or "adorable." I don't understand. Why am I thinking these things? It can't be normal.
It's just that I truly do think it. It's not just a passing thought; it's a solid observation and I-'
Light crossed that last bit out.
'I'm going to wait and hope these feelings pass. Otherwise, I may have to transfer to a different job in the investigation, and I know that will slow Ryuzaki's work by at least 15%. I'm apparently the only one here smart enough to effectively stimulate his thoughts.
Wait, why am I using his percentages now? What is going on with me?
I need to concentrate on my work. Work is my only distraction from these thoughts.
Until next time,
Light'
Light closed the notebook and tucked it in his laptop bag next to his brand-new, super-thin laptop model.
"What was that, that you were just writing in?" L murmured sleepily. Light jumped.
"You're awake." L nodded.
"I came to the same conclusion, interestingly enough. You didn't answer my question." L's eyes bored into Light's unflinchingly, waiting for an adequate reply.
"That was, um..." Light blushed and looked at the wood grain in the desk. "My diary."
"You keep a diary?" L asked, seemingly fascinated with the idea. "Why?"
"Why not?" Light replied, embarrassed. "Besides, it helps me organize my thoughts when I write them out."
"Do you write details of the Kira case in it?" Light nodded.
"Not detailed enough to give anything away that isn't already public information, but yes." L stood- once again, Light was reminded how tall, and extremely skinny, L was- and put his hands on the armrests of Light's chair and leaned in, effectively caging him in his seat. Light's heartbeat put on a pair of running shoes and flew off the meter.
"You need to leave it here. Details of the case, whether explicit or not, cannot leave our headquarters. Is that understood?" L's breath, which carried the scent of strawberries and sugar, caressed Light's face gently.
"I understand." It came out a hushed murmur, possibly due to the fact that he had stopped breathing. L studied him, his eyes scanning over Light's flushed cheeks, wide eyes with dilated pupils, mouth slightly agape, and shallow breaths.
"Good." Light's eyes flickered to L's lips of their own accord. L didn't fail to notice that.
"Now go home. It's late. Or if you'd prefer, you can sleep in one of the rooms here. Your choice." L said, going back to his chair.
"I'll just sleep here. It's too late to go home. I might disrupt my sister or my mother's slumber." Light decided, picking up his bag and heading to one of the rooms.
"Good night, Ryuzaki."
"Sweet dreams, Light-kun." L replied, noticing Light stumble a little as he said that. He smiled to himself. He seemed to have some sort of effect on Light. He wasn't sure why, but it was kind of amusing and certainly worth investigating further.
~
Light fell into bed, not bothering to undress beyond taking off his shoes and belt. However, as tired as he was, he could not fall asleep. He couldn't stop thinking. Thinking about L and thinking about all of these feelings that were emerging now, as he lay in the dark, staring at the ceiling.
Anger at having these feelings.
Jealousy of everyone else. They didn't have such complex problems.
Concern for L's well-being, seeing as he only ever consumed sweets and tea and he rarely slept. The circles under his eyes were practically permanent.
Amusement at L's cleverness and, sometimes, his cluelessness.
The need to gain and constantly reaffirm L's respect, and trust. L still thought he was Kira, after all.
Fondness stemming from L's funny habits and mannerisms, and his way of seeing everything in his own way.
And, most of all, Light was feeling a desperate desire to touch L. Feel his soft, pale skin. Stroke his gravity-defying black hair. Revel in his warmth.
Because L was warm. He looked like winter; stark white skin against raven hair, and huge, icy gray eyes, on a skeletal frame. But he truly was like spring; new ideas, new life, and new hope, sunshine and warmth. L just wanted that warmth to come close and never leave his side.
And these feelings really scared Light. As far as he could tell, L didn't particularly care one way or another if he existed. Aside from him supposedly being Kira, of course. So Light really wasn't allowed to feel this way.
Because, if his calculations were correct, these feelings, factored together, equated to him being in love with L. In love!
Light had never been in love before. He'd certainly never dated another guy before. He had no clue what he was supposed to do in this situation. He supposed his sister would have lots of advice if he asked her, considering the sheer amount of romance manga she read. She seemed to have a particular taste for yaoi and yuri pairings.
But how could he ask her something like that? "Hey, sis, could you give me some tips for confessing my love to another man, who thinks I'm a psychotic mass-murderer and also definitely doesn't like me in the same way?"
Light sighed. Naturally, his first experience with romance and it's a really problematic scenario. Maybe it was to balance out his good fortune in life so far, his good looks, and his brain. That would be just his luck.
He closed his eyes and sleep found him quickly.
~
L wandered over to Light's doorway. The man had fallen into the bed, completely dressed, and was now lying spread-eagle, breathing steadily. Actually, just listening to his slow, steady breathing was relaxing.
L felt content around Light. He had come to the conclusion a long time ago that Light couldn't possibly be Kira, although he was definitely smart enough to be. But even if he was, L felt sure that Light wouldn't ever kill him, even given the chance. And just being in the same room as Light made L feel more relaxed, like he could grow to his full potential. Like he wasn't restricted anymore.
It was a pleasant feeling.
Light looked relaxed, in his sleep. When working on the case, his face quickly became lined with worry and discontent. It was the type of frown that reminded one of small kittens in the rain. L much preferred this expression of relief and calm that Light took on in his sleep.
Light was handsome, as well. He had an angular jaw, a perfect, straight nose, silky, chocolate-brown hair, cheeks that took up a rosiness every so often that was beautiful to behold, and soft, pink lips that L couldn't even begin to describe. All in all, the face that even angels wished they had.
His mind was even more glorious. He had mastered all of his schoolwork with ease, focusing and prioritizing the case with a single-minded focus that L envied. He could understand so many complex topics, and he could even help L think by bouncing ideas back and forth. That was when L felt the closest to Light; when they were going back and forth with their theories, growing off of each other while still debating. They were like two rose vines, curling around each other in the struggle towards the sun, growing upwards and securing themselves on each other. L felt like he could truly see Light's soul in those moments, as they were discussing and interacting and truly having to think, for once.
L suddenly noticed Light's laptop bag on the foot of the bed. An ordinary-looking brown notebook was poking out.
"Light-kun's diary... I wonder..." Carefully, L slid it out of the bag and opened it to the first page.
'Dear diary,'
(This bit was crossed out, but L could still read it.)
'I've given little to nothing to this investigation. I don't know why they keep me here. Actually, I do know. Ryuzaki thinks that I'm Kira, though I can say with certainty that I'm not.
I wish I could be more helpful, but Kira truly is a genius. I don't have a clue how they do what they do.
I want to prove to Ryuzaki- no, I want to prove to everyone that I can be useful in this case and that I'm innocent. I'll do whatever it takes to prove myself.
Yours truly,
Light'
L smiled a little as he turned the page.
As he came upon the last entry, he frowned. It sounded like Light was in love with him. At least, that's how Misa had described love. He wouldn't know. Was that the effect L had noticed that he had on him?
L wasn't disgusted by the development. If anything, it caused something to dance in the pit of his stomach. That's another symptom of love that Misa mentioned, when L asked her what love felt like.
So was he... In love with Light? He wasn't opposed to being with another guy, but he wasn't even sure if he felt something, or if he was misreading something.
L looked up as Light shifted into his side, seemingly trying to wrap his arms around something that wasn't there.
"I... Love you... Ryuzaki." Light murmured in his sleep. L was definitely surprised, but it wasn't exactly an unpleasant surprise. He decide to try something, to test if his feelings were real.
"I love you, Light-kun." He said softly, and Light smiled in his sleep, illuminating his already perfect features with contentedness. He sighed happily.
"Come... closer... Cold." Light murmured, twitching his fingers as he searched for a body that was only in his dreams.
"Of course you're cold, silly. You fell asleep on top of the bed." L said, putting the diary on top of the laptop bag, and helped Light to get under the covers. Light gripped his shirt and pulled him onto the bed. Giving in to the fact that he would be sleeping next to Light that night, L slid under the covers as well, so that he wouldn't wake up an icicle.
"Better now." Light muttered, and L smiled before impulsively kissing him on the tip of his nose. Light curled closer to L until their noses were brushing against each other, and L savored the warmth of this position before closing his eyes, drifting off to sleep quickly.
~
Light woke up with his arms around something warm. Was it Misa? No, the skin was softer and the shoulders broader. He opened his eyes. It was L.
Wait, what? L? Light stilled. Did they... DO something last night? No, Light definitely would have remembered if they had.
So what was L doing in bed with him? And why were Light's arms around him? Light decided to feign sleep until L woke up, so he could gauge L's reaction.
It wasn't actually an unpleasant way to sleep, with his arms wrapped around L's torso and their noses close to touching, breaths warming each other's faces. He wouldn't be opposed to staying like that forever, as long as L was asleep. As soon as they were both awake in that position, it was bound to get awkward.
After about ten minutes, L stirred.
"Huh? Light-kun? What are you doing?" L murmured. He shifted off of the bed and out of Light's arms.
"Huh. I must have fallen asleep after Light-kun... Oh, right. He was asleep. I guess I'll just pretend like that didn't happen." Light's heart sank at that, and unbeknownst to him, so did L's.
"It's nine in the morning already? I'd better wake Light-kun." L muttered. Light felt a hand gripping and shaking his shoulder.
"Light-kun. Wake up." Light pretended to stir from his fake slumber, and opened his eyes to see L's face, a foot from his own.
"Good morning, Light-kun." L said softly. Light yawned.
"Good morning, Ryuzaki." It occurred to L that if the diary was legit and not just some stupid prank, he should probably make sure he really felt the same way about Light before making a move. He valued their friendship too much to gamble it on a fleeting thought that, so far, could not be supported with much evidence.
"I'm going to order breakfast. Do you want anything, besides your coffee, of course?" L asked. Light shook his head.
"Light-kun, you need to eat something or you'll end up a corpse like me." L was only half-joking. Light frowned.
"You're not a corpse. I hate to break it to you, but you're not dead. And you'd look perfectly normal if you actually slept a healthy amount and occasionally went into the sunlight." L shrugged slightly and walked out. Sighing, Light got up and straightened out his clothes, which were somewhat wrinkly from being slept in. Why had L slept beside him? He had made it sound like Light initiated it, but Light had been asleep. Oh no... What if he had started sleep-talking again? He hadn't done that in years!
The question was, what did he say? And how could he find out without admitting to L that he had been feigning sleep?
~
Light found L back at the desk with a tray loaded with a tall stack of syrup-covered waffles, a platter of fruit (the strawberries were already nearly gone,) a pile of assorted candy, and a whole strawberry cake (of course.)
"Oh, Light, here's your coffee. And have a piece of toast. I asked Watari to make you something you like." L handed him the familiar, plain-white mug, and as they made the exchange, their fingers touched. Light's cheeks began to burn. L looked up at him, feeling a warmth from his chest, up his neck, to his ears. Was this a symptom of love? L knew nothing on the topic.
As Light continued to go through all of the various Kira-themed websites that they had tagged as "suspicious," occasionally having a bite of toast, L googled "side effects of infatuation." Nothing helpful popped up. Then, he tried "side effects of love," and several sites emerged. They all described a feeling of "butterflies in your stomach," blushing more often around the other person, being in-tune to their every emotion and thought-process (that one hit the nail on the head for their situation, L thought,) nervousness or anxiety when around the person, romantic and/or sexual fantasies about the person, and a deep affection for the person. L figured that there was about a 68% chance that he did feel something for Light beyond friendship, considering the number of these symptoms he was experiencing, and some of the other symptoms he was noticing, which the websites didn't mention, such as the feelings of safety and comfort, and the, let's face it, irrational desire to tell Light everything about himself that only Watari knew.
He had never had a friend before... Light was a good first experience, L thought. Even if L had suspected until quite recently that Light was Kira. Now that L felt certain that Light was in the clear, he trusted him implicitly. He did happen to be the only one whom L could make real conversation with. Everyone else was too stupid or too naïve to talk about certain things with. Light wasn't.
L glanced at Light. The handsome young man was gazing at his computer screen. He looked truly focused, as if he couldn't possibly allow for a single particle of his being to think about something besides the investigation. But he also looked really stiff, like his shoulders hadn't come back to their natural resting position in a long time. This was probably an effect of the work that they did.
"Light-kun, have you found anything interesting?" L asked, making his hands into fists to keep from massaging Light's tense shoulders.
"A website suggesting that Kira is a group of people with the power to kill, like a gang or a religious organization set on condemning sinners. Another claiming to know your true identity, Ryuzaki. Otherwise, nothing much," Light sighed. "You?"
L took a cookie from the tray and bit into it with enthusiasm. Then, he chewed it thoughtfully before swallowing and replying:
"I may have an insight to something involving our current situation, but unfortunately, it has little to do with Kira." Light raised an eyebrow.
"Mind sharing that insight? Since you brought it up?" L finished the cookie and scratched his head.
"I plan to, but that talk is not for present time. Telling you may cause an immediate halt in our productivity at work, so I'd rather tell you after you get back from your date with Ms. Amane, when I can, without regret, take a break. By the way, your date is in twenty minutes, if you recall. It's twenty to seven." Light glanced at his watch, gasping. Then, he stood, grabbing his coat from the back of his chair.
"Thanks for reminding me, Ryuzaki. If I had forgotten and not shown up, Misa would've had my head." Light said, and L smiled to himself.
"Light-kun, I don't think you ever forgot a meeting with me. I'm glad you have your priorities in order." L made his tone sarcastic to keep from revealing his emotions too soon, but he truly meant what he said. It was clear that he was more important to Light than Misa was. That made him very happy, and now he understood why.
He and Light needed to have that talk as soon as possible.
~
Light shrugged off his coat and hung it on the back of his chair. He was exhausted. A date with Misa was like babysitting a four-year old with delusions of romance in their mind. Which made for a really odd comparison but there you go. Light was happy to be back in the quiet, peaceful building. Or maybe it wasn't completely the building itself, but rather, L's comforting presence, which helped to ease the awful tension in his shoulders.
"Hello, Light-kun. How was your date with Misa?" L asked, glancing up at Light from his chair. Light could only respond with a heavy sigh.
"One word to describe it?" L asked. Light thought about it for a moment.
"I can't decide if 'tiring' or 'tiresome' is more accurate." L chuckled.
"So, what was that insight that you had earlier? I've been wondering." Light asked eagerly, sitting in his chair.
"Curiosity killed the cat, you know." L stalled.
"The full phrase is "curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back." So go on, tell me." Light pried. L chewed on his thumb.
"Do you promise not to get upset?" L asked. Light frowned.
"Is this another theory about Misa and I being Kira?" L shook his head. Light deliberated.
"Fine, I'll do my best. But I can't promise anything." L nodded, popping a chocolate in his mouth and gulping it down.
"Light-kun, you also have to promise you won't interrupt. It's going to be hard enough to say it, as it is." Light nodded slowly, concern showing in his expression.
"Light-kun, you're the only friend I have. You're quite possibly smarter than me, you put up with me, and you push me to do my best, to be the best version of myself. I trust you, now that I can confirm that you are truly not Kira, and I feel comfortable being myself around you. I can honestly say that, as your friend, I'd like to see you happy." Light shifted in his seat, looking uncomfortable at the unexpected sentiment.
"Additionally, aside from the mental stimulus that you bring about, you also evoke a number of physical reactions in me. My heart begins to beat faster when I see you, my face gets hot when you look at me, it feels like there's small animals jumping around in my stomach when we're together, I feel like I have to be better than my best when I'm around you, and I experience sudden impulses to shower you with affection." Light's face was bright-red by this time. L, undeterred, continued on.
"All of these symptoms put together leave only one option for diagnosis. I'm about 90% sure now that I'm in love with you, Light Yagami." L finished. Light could only stare at him, cheeks the color of a fire truck and temperature of the fire itself.
"My question is now what you feel for me, and whether my saying this will affect our working relationship." Light bit his lip, not sure how to respond.
"You don't have to say it to my face. If you'd prefer to write it out and leave me a note, that's fine as well." L offered, a bit crestfallen now. Had he been wrong about Light's feelings towards him? Had he really just messed up his only friendship?
"No, no, that's ok," Light stressed. "I can say it to your face. Just give me a moment to think about how I can say this clearly. I didn't plan this out for who-knows-how-long like someone else in this room. Not pointing any fingers," L shrugged, admitting to that.
'L is in love with me? Doesn't he suspect me to be Kira? Or has he moved past that, finally?
And, hold on, L feels the same way? Does this mean we could date, or something like that? Is that where he's intending to go with this? I mean, I would like that but I'd rather not assume that. I could be wrong.'
Light cleared his throat, and L gazed at him, waiting for his response.
"Before I can answer, could I ask what you had in mind if I were to feel similarly?" L's face lit up with a small but bright smile. Did that mean Light felt the same, and was deliberating over his options?
"Well, I figured we'd have to discuss it, but I assumed that we could go out sometimes, maybe kiss or hold hands, if you're comfortable with that. I didn't anticipate all that much changing in the work environment, but it would probably change your relationship with Misa. That's all I know for certain. The rest is up to you; what you want and are okay with doing. I'll go along with whatever you say is good." Light blushed at the blatancy of L's statement. He couldn't help but love when L was being straightforward with him. He couldn't help but love L, honestly.
He knew what his answer was. He stood.
"Ryuzaki, I can't think of a single situation where we couldn't work well together. I don't think even World War III could affect our work relationship." L looked happy to hear that.
"And my other question? Your feelings for me?" L breathed. Light gripped the arms of L's chair and leaned in, his face merely inches from L's.
"Completely and totally reciprocated. 100%." Light leaned in more and touched their lips together. L froze in shock for a moment but then grabbed Light's face and pulled him more into it, kissing him eagerly.
When they broke apart, Light smiled at L, a private sort of smile that L had never seen before. He'd only seen L's devious smile when he had an idea of how to trick someone, and the fake smiles he wore around Misa. He liked this smile a lot better. Impulsively, L leaned forward and left a kiss on the tip of Light's nose. Light's smile widened.
"So, then, L, this brings me to my next question." Light said. L frowned in confusion.
"Would you like to go out sometime, just the two of us?" L smiled, understanding now. He kissed Light's cheek.
"Absolutely." Light smiled again, before standing up normally again.
"Now, would you like to take a break from the case and go get a coffee with me? You did say that you wouldn't feel guilty taking a break after I got back." Light asked, slightly nervous for some reason.
"That sounds nice." L mused, standing- Light still couldn't fathom how he was able to get out of that position, on a rolling chair, and stand, while still looking as graceful as a swan.
Light offered his hand to L and L took it, smiling at him. Light couldn't help it- he kissed L's beautiful, adorable face. L, moved his free hand to hook around Light's neck and pull them closer as they kissed some more.
"At this rate, Light-kun," L murmured breathlessly between kisses, a few minutes later. "We may not make it to the coffee shop before it closes."
"Maybe the coffee will have to wait. I've got something even better right here." Light replied softly, moving his lips down to L's neck.
