Spelling Bee

Pairing: Iwaoi
Giraffe, G-I-R-A-F-F-E. Giraffe." Oikawa Tooru spelled. The teacher smiled.
"Iwaizumi-san, spell 'squirrel.'"
"Squirrel, S-Q-U-I-R-R-E-L. Squirrel."
"Ueda-san, spell 'emperor.'"
"Emperor, E-M-P-E-R-O-R. Emperor."
"Oikawa-san, spell 'monstrous.'"
"Monstrous, M-O-N-S-T-R-O-S. Monstrous." The teacher shook her head, smiling soothingly.
"I'm sorry, that is incorrect." Oikawa's huge brown eyes welled up with tears, and Iwaizumi was a few steps away when suddenly Oikawa whipped off his shirt to reveal a sparkly blue t-shirt underneath reading "GO IWA-CHAN!"
"Iwa-chan, win it for both of us!" Oikawa exclaimed dramatically.
"I will kick you." Iwaizumi threatened, and Oikawa darted off of the stage to dodge the blow.

"I can't believe you still remember that! That was second grade!" Oikawa laughs, and Iwaizumi tries to look unimpressed but fails and smiles.
"Of course. That was when I first realized that you were my best friend." Oikawa pouted.
"Only then? We met when we were four year olds! Maybe you are stupid, Iwa-chan." Iwaizumi hit him upside the head lightly.
"You're the stupid one since you only realized you didn't like girls at all when you dated a boy."
"How was I supposed to know what romantic feelings were supposed to be like? You're the one who reads shoujo manga." Oikawa defended.
"I do not!" Iwaizumi argued. "Besides, you're the one who got that shirt specially made and wore it underneath your shirt in case you didn't win the spelling bee."
Oikawa stuck his tongue out playfully, flashing a peace sign.
"I knew I couldn't win. I wanted to cheer for my Iwa-chan!" Iwaizumi rolled his eyes but kissed his boyfriend on the cheek.
"I think I loved you a little bit even then." Oikawa admitted quietly.
"I think I did too." At this, Oikawa smiled- a genuine smile- and Iwaizumi forgot to hit him. He forgot to kick him or head butt him. Instead, he kissed him.
