[Temporary Safehouse, Outside Cubao]
[3:00 AM – August 6, 2016]

When one lives a life of order, it can be quite conflicting when such a task fails over something done willingly.

"You did what!?"

And for Wushi, that's exactly the task she immediately didn't see through.

Reeling from the aftermath of Northside, the specialist focuses on her damaged katana while the rookie Perez stares furiously at her, letting one hand balled into a fist and the other squeezing the tablet hard. It was one, simple admittance. She knew that hiding the fact can lead to being liable; a stain towards a team that relies one another to be trustful and loyal. It was already on her plan to reveal such a fact, believing her adversary would do the same without issue.

Unfortunately, her care for the sword delayed such a reveal by minutes. That was on her for slipping up. Burns a bit when she realizes Deathwatch might have beaten her to it.

Either way, always remain professional.

"I made a temporary truce with the target." She repeats calmly, placing the broken blade on her forearm to see any issue. "Didn't trust him, at first, but it kinda went well."

Perez slams the tablet on the table, shaking the furniture to cause an imbalance with her measurement. A quick glance from her eye and she can see his hand about to pull out his pistol. She doesn't react or respond to such risk. To her, It's pointless to act, remaining still as stone and continuing to inspect her weapon. The rookie's buttons are pushed and he takes the gun out... only for Damien, chill as ever, to jump in and keep his arm from raising.

"Please learn trigger discipline, Cres. Can't have the neighbors file a complaint."

Perez struggles against Damien's strong arm before relenting, letting go of his pistol and being freed from his grasp. Still, daggers are still darted towards her.

"Your teammate collaborated with the enemy. The same bastards that flood the prison in Taguig!" Perez says with a huff, rubbing his fingers as he looks at them. "Isn't that against our orders?"

"It is."

Speaking into play, Corporal Anita walks back into the building and makes her way to the table, placing her phone in her pocket. Based on the expression that Wushi and Damien notice from her, the call she was answering was not pleasant.

"Ебать, I might even agree with you when he had his laser on me." she brings it up, looking at the specialist who just tilts her head in confusion.

"It's used as a fear tactic, Corporal. He knows how screwed he is if he pulls the trigger." Wushi rationalizes.

"And hides your collaboration well. A peaceful resolution, I can respect." Damien raises his arm for a fist bump, something Wushi obliges.

Perez watches in disagreement, grabbing the chair to his left and hastily sitting down.

"Still doesn't answer why." he drags his chair forward. Frustrations continue to flow.

"I'm sure she has her reasons." Anita walks to her side and defends her. "If she accepted a truce, then it must have been for an extraordinary circumstance."

Wushi nods, her body still aching from the recent fight.

"It was Denegrade." Wushi looks up slightly, seeing the faces of her teammates in shock. "She was there... trying to blow up the lab containing intel the Halimaws were looking for. She's a lot stronger now, able to handle me and Deathwatch at our limits."

Perez looks at her in disbelief. "So the reason your vitals were going crazy was-"

Wushi cuts him off to say, "She beat us in combat. Had a smug attitude while doing so."
