While the two of us continued, there was something strange in the midst. Before we leaned in to kiss each other once again, a certain object became an obstacle for us. That object was Seo Young leaning in between our faces, leading us to kiss both her cheeks...one cheek for each person.
"Am...I-I h-o-o-me? Where's B-Baekhyun? That son of a b--" I used my hand to quickly cover her mouth before she became a cursing machine.
I kind of wished my first passionate kiss would have more of a happy finale. Seems like I can't ask for everything on this planet.
On my way out, Jong In gave me a sweet goodbye hug and the both of us decided to let Seo Young stay at his place for the night. As he closed the door, I started to walk to the nearest convenience store to stay in Hongdae for the night until dawn.
"WAIT!!" Hearing a voice come from afar, my heart skipped a beat as he kept calling my name. "EUN HEE, YOU FORGOT YOUR JACKET!" Knowing that the voice was Kai, I immediately stopped and the next thing I knew, he grabbed my arm and turned me around as if I was his own sugar plum princess.
As he kept panting from all the heavy running, I offered him an energy drink, yet he declined."Wait, where's the jacket? Maybe you grabbed the wrong one..."
"Okay." He took a deep breath. "But, that's not the reason why I'm still standing next to you right now."
"Then...?" My eyes began to dilate as he held me by the shoulders with both of his large, white-like snow hands.
"I know we both had a rough past. And I know that I've confessed to you many times when we were younger...This may seem startling to you as a person who just met her childhood friend in a long time, but I just wanted to say..." At that moment, I had covered his mouth with my palm.
"I like you too. Kim Jong In." Smiling back, he caressed my pale face while running his fingers through the wavy, brunette strands of my hair.

SEO YOUNG POV
When I woke up the next morning on a random couch, I freaked out unknowingly of what happened the night before. The last scene I remember was when Sehun invited me to Baekhyun's house. Just then, a man walked out to the living room as he gave me an enthusiastic expression.
"Oh? Looks like you're awake now! How was your sleep?" As he handed me a tall cup of oriental tea, I stared closely into his eyes through my blurry vision.
"Who are you..? Why am I here..? DO I HAVE TO CALL 119?"
"Hey, if anyone's calling 119. that person should be me." He snickered. "Besides, you should've seen yourself last night...If I were you, I wouldn't be able to even go outside anymore, let alone stare at myself in the mirror."
"Fine. I'll just pretend you're my acquaintance. But, can you please tell me how and why I ended up here in the first place?"
"Your friend, Eun Hee was here, as well."
I rolled my eyes as I placed down the cup of tea. "She's not my friend...What kind of person do you think I am to let myself hang around a monster like her?" I questioned myself to how he would know Eun Hee. What a small world we live in.
"You're Seo Young, right? A.K.A Eun Hee's rival?"
"...How did you know?" I raised one eyebrow. "Perhaps, have we met each other from somewhere? For sure, I don't think I have seen you from anywhere. What school did you go to?"
"The same school you went to." Being the same curious-self that I am, I started to interrogate this man with no shame and doubt.
"Then what was my nickname?"
"Golden Sheep. You were the brightest of them all, hence that was your nickname? No?"
"That's right...But how many ranks was I ahead of Eun Hee?"
"One. You were first. Didn't I say you guys were rivals? Learn to ask more better questions, instead of trying to play smart." He sighed. "Before I introduce myself, I want to let you know that Eun Hee has lived a tough life. Instead of hating on someone, I feel like you should keep yourself calm first. Eun Hee, she grew up with people underestimating her abilities. She barely knows how to wash the dishes or do her own laundry because she's too afraid to see herself fail."
I suddenly continued to blink my eyes continuously feeling a whole amount of guilt hovered on the back of my shoulders. "I'm sorry. I should've known. But, it's the past right? She's living pretty well these days."
"Seo Young, there's something called t-r-a-u-m-a. Trauma."
I couldn't bear myself to let someone's life be ruined again. I've lost my parents. "Where is she right now?"
****
While I left the neighborhood, I had realized that I never asked for the man's name. Although I wasn't fully convinced that we were in the same class, not to mention going to the same school, to hear such news about Eun Hee made my heart break down a little.
I roamed down the streets of Hongdae going down from one block to another as I tried to contact Eun Hee with the number I had received from the man. Yet, there was no reply whatsoever.
Finally, I observed Eun Hee sitting on top of a rooftop repetitively hollering someone's name whom I did not know of. Scared by the thought of suicide, my feet were unable to sprint quickly towards her direction, and rather stayed paralyzed in one spot.
"KIM JONG IN! KIM JONG IN! KIM JONG IN!" These were the only words I had heard from Eun Hee screaming at the top of her lungs.
By the time she stood up to view the panorama of Earth's clear sky, my body could not help it but pull her down along with me on the rooftop's ground. "EUN HEE, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING RIGHT NOW?"
"..." My heartbeat, for the first time was racing faster than ever as Eun Hee held my hand tightly. "Unnie...I'm s-sorry." Tears were flowing down our faces as we stared at each other on the same level.
"You made me worry so much. I heard about your story from-m--"
"Kim Jong In."
"Who?"
"The guy you stayed with last night...I mean, we..." Eun Hee laughed. "It's a long story."
"Long story or not, promise me you'll never do that again!" I gave her a smile of comfort. "Life is rough. This may be typical, but there will be ups and downs throughout your existence so never underestimate yourself. I know you lived a tough life. I went through a similar experience as you...so don't feel as if you are alone...ever."
As we both laid next to each other on the rooftop, I felt like my parents have given me another chance to taste the meaning of friendship...and more importantly, to love.
