Ch. 8 - Goodbye To You

Sehun POV

Our eyes met...parallel, facing directly at each other. Her eyes shone brightly like the night-streets of Seoul. "I'm. I'm--um. Sehun. Oh Sehun, to be exact." I acted hesitantly as she stayed frozen with her eyes wide open. "Hello?.."

She finally stood up from the bench. "Oh?? Yeah...Hello."

"What's your name?"

"Seo Young." She repeated. "Park Seo Young."

"Why do you look so scared?"

"I'm not."

"But. You. Are.?"

She started walking to the ledge. "I think I should leave."

"Why do you keep leaving? We barely know anything about each other."

"I wish I wouldn't leave...but now, I kind of have to."

"You can't!" I shouted on the top of my lungs. All was silence. I stepped closer to her as her footsteps kept getting closer to the edge.

I then realized that she wanted to commit suicide. I was too selfish to notice someone was at risk.

I held Seo Young's hand. "Let me ask you one question...Why are you doing this? It's not the end. Don't you have dreams you want to accomplish later in life?" I said as i felt her soft teardrops gently running down my hand.

"Because...I'm lonely." She coughed.
"I don't have a family. I don't have support. The world is lonely. I want to see how it is in heaven...with my mom....with my dad...together. If I'm not happy living, why am I still alive?"

"You're not alone, Seo Young."
I pulled her down and somehow she fell on top of me again like how we first met on the bus.

I smiled as I wiped the final tear off her face. "You still have me." Hugging her tightly, I felt her heartbeat next to mines. She kept quiet and we continued to lay like this on the cement floor.

It was noon. We woke up and our eyes met again for the third time like it was fate.

Suddenly, we heard footsteps coming up to the rooftop where we were at. I immediately pulled Seo Young's arm and ran to the other side of the rooftop.

"Where is he?" I suddenly heard my mom's manager on the other side talking to someone.

I held Seo Young close to me and whispered to her ear. "I got to go...don't go anywhere. If a man comes here asking you where I am, just say you don't know me. I'll be back before you know it."

Seo Young POV

"...Okay." I replied while mumbling.

Se Hun gave me a goodbye kiss and sprinted away right after. Following his orders, I sat here without making a sound.

"HEY. YOU OVER THERE..." I looked up to see who it was.

"Excuse me, ajusshi...?"

"Yeah, um. Student. You're from Jung Sang University right?"

"Uh. Yes...who are you?"

"...I'm looking for this bastard named Se Hun. This kid has been running away for days."

*FLASHBACK*

"If a man comes here asking you where I am, just say you don't know me. I'll be back before you know it."

"Um. I don't know him, ahjusshi...I'm sorry."

"..DAMN IT!" He punched the wall with his bloody fist. "Just pretend you never saw that."

I nodded and ran away quickly.

...

"Se Hun. Where are you?...I miss you.."
