Ch. 5 - The First Day

Seo Young POV

Ah. It's nice to have a beautiful sunny view outside the window. Today is officially my first day at Jung Sang University. I kissed my necklace and went to the food court to eat my breakfast with Ga Eul.

"Unnie!! I'm over here!!" Ga Eul shouted my name across the food court.

"Yes? Oh, Im coming..."

After I got my ramen, I went to sit down with Ga Eul. Although it was quiet for the first few minutes, we started to talk a lot as each minute passed.

"So, what's your schedule, Ga Eul?"

"I have dancing first, vocal training class afterwards, then track (cause i have to stay fit), japanese class after that, and acting class at the end of the day."

"Wow, i guess this fate, Ga Eul-ah. I have the exact same schedule as you. I guess we can start walking to class with each other everyday? hehe..."

"YOU'RE RIGHT, SEO YOUNG UNNIE~!! THIS WILL BE THE BEST YEAR EVER!"

"Haha, you're very funny. I too, think that will be the best year ever, mom and dad. Please stay with me forever.", I mumbled to myself.

After I threw my food away, the bell rang and although I was startled at first, I gladly walked with my newest partner, Lee Ga Eul.

When we arrived at dance class, our teacher, Ms. Kang, greeted us with a gentle smile. But when she started dancing in front of the class, I was quite surprised by her chic and fierce charisma.

"Lee Ga Eul, please step forward."

"Yes, teacher."

"Repeat what I do. It's all about mental strength."

"Yes, teacher.", Ga Eul spoke so reverently.

When Ms. Kang demonstrated to her the dance from SNSD's genie, Ga Eul failed, although she perfected every move.

"Get it right, Ms. Ga Eul."

"Yes, I understand."

"Remember Ga Eul. Mental Strength."

Ms. Kang's words affected me so deeply and made me reminisce all day the time when my parents were still alive. Suddenly, Ga Eul called my name to go to vocal training. Our teacher was Ms. Min.

"Annyeonghaseyo students. I will be your vocal training teacher of the year. My name is Ms. Min. It's nice to see these fresh faces that will be stars one day. I just know that each and everyone of you will shine brighter that the full moon."

After today, I noticed both Ms. Min and Ms. Kang were very supportive to their students. I realized that people aren't so scary after all. I mean, we're all the same species. However, after meeting my teachers, it feels like I met another version of my mom and my dad in real life.

The next day, while me and Ga Eul were walking to class, I suddenly saw the man I met on the bus. As we were walking towards each other, I passed him quickly so he wouldn't notice me.

"Unnie?"

"Yes Ga Eul?"

"What are you hiding from? Are you scared of something?..."

"Oh what? Oh. It's nothing for you to worry about. Let's just continue walking."

Ga Eul POV

Hmm... Is there a reason why unnie is acting so weird today? She was okay this morning in the dorm. I wonder what's bothering her.

Se Hun POV

Wait, did I just see the girl from the bus 3 days earlier? Wasn't she the one who fell on top of me? I suddenly peeked a glance at her, but I saw her hiding behind her friend. Was it perhaps that she noticed me?

I finally decided to holler at her. "YAH! You over there!"

Seo Young POV

"OMO...Did he notice me?? Aish..."

He secretly came up to me and tapped me lightly on my shoulder.

"Excuse me, miss?"

I stopped while in shock. "...hello? Ahem...hello."

"Are you perhaps the girl I met on the bus several days ago?.."

"Me?...I think you're mistaken.." I mumbled and continued walking with Ga Eul.

"What?? No. You're definitely the one! I remember you."

"I'm sorry. We don't even know each other's names."

He replied back. "But please let me explain! Well. First of all my name is--"

"No. I'm sorry. I'm going to have to leave first."

After I left the hall with Ga Eul, we went to the library where it was quieter. While I was reading a book, I was reminiscing about what happened between us at the hallway. I wished I wasn't afraid of people but the thought of him gave me constant migraines.

"Unnie, are you okay? You look like you're going to throw up."

"Oh, I'm alright..." I mumbled as I laid my head on the desk.

"Who was that random guy at the hall? He looked very handsome!! Is he your boyfriend?" She squealed with excitement.

"What? No. Ga Eul. Quiet down." I whispered to her. "He's just a stranger I met on the bus a few days ago. And no, he is not my boyfriend. -sigh- We don't even know each other's names."

"Oh...I'm sorry. I didn't know. How silly I am."

"It's okay." I giggled.

"So unnie, are you going to see him again?"

"Him? I don't know...maybe? I guess I should apologize."

The whole night, I was thinking if I should be guilty or not. I was dying to know his name and learn about each other all day long. However, now, I don't know if I even deserve to have the chance to do that..
