Ch. 7 - A Second Chance

Seo Young POV

"Apologize to Chanyeol." Ga Eul gave a sharp stare.

"Okay. That should be easy..." I mumbled to myself.

"I didn't finish. Go on your knees and beg for forgiveness."

I gulped. "What?..."

"Oh, one more thing. I have to be there watching for proof."

The room suddenly got super tense. "How..."

"If you're really sorry, unnie, you shouldn't have a problem doing this. Tell me whenever you're ready."

I sighed and tried to fall asleep. Thinking about Ga Eul and Chanyeol, I just want to reverse time back to when I still stayed in my parents home.

The next morning, I left the dorm and I called Chanyeol when no one was awake yet. We met at the fountains and sat down next to each other. I could feel the tension between us as no one spoke a word.

I rested my hand on his shoulder. "About the incident...are you okay?"

"I'm okay, noona~ don't worry. You don't have to apologize either."

My eyes froze when I saw Ga Eul starting at us from a shrub. Just then, I went on my knees and asked for forgiveness.

"Chanyeol-ah. Noona is sorry for everything. I'm sorry for kicking you and injuring you. I'm sorry for ruining your relationship with Ga Eul. I didn't know. Please forgive me."

"Noona, you're so funny. I think you should've acted as Cha Eun Sang in The Heirs!"

"Oh??.."

Chanyeol then pulled me up next to him and laid my head on his lap. I stayed quiet as he ran his fingers through my long, thin hair. When I looked at the shrub, Ga Eul wasn't there anymore.

"What happened to Ga Eul?!" I blurted out of nowhere.

"Ga Eul?"

"Oh? It's nothing..." I whispered. "I have to go now, Chanyeol-ah. Goodbye."

He smiled showing his rich teeth. "Mm. Okay. Bye noona."

A few hours had passed and I went to see Ga Eul during passing period. We sat together under a tree with our arms near our sides.

"Ga Eul." I said.

"Seo Young unnie."

"Did you see my apology..?"

She sat quietly. "...Yes."

"Did you talk to Chanyeol today yet?"

"Oh...no. I haven't yet. I don't think I should." Ga Eul answered while startled.

Suddenly a voice of a man came to us from a mile away.

"GA EUL NOONA!!!!" Chanyeol shouted.

Ga Eul looked up to the sky. "Oh??"

Ga Eul POV

I was wondering in my head how am I going to talk to Chanyeol. I was scared things would be awkward between us after that day. I don't want to see him because I'm frightened of the thought that he'll be hurt every time he's next to me. If he goes with Seo Young, maybe Chanyeol will be safe. I mean, he did stroke her hair while she was laying on his lap...

"Let's go out for some tea." Chanyeol gave me his usual smile.

I then looked at Seo Young deeply, but for a short period of time.

"Oh..okay, Chanyeol-ah."

After both of us said goodbye, we left Seo Young unnie alone.

Seo Young POV

Whew. I'm so glad Chanyeol asked Ga Eul to go somewhere with him. I thought I was going to die sitting here surrounded by the awkward tension.

I went to the rooftop and sat on the benches. I started to close my eyes..not to think about birds and rainbows..but to rethink about my life.

Suddenly, a shadow was blocking the sun from my face. "Um...Hello?" He chuckled. "I think we need to do a proper greeting this time." I opened my eyes to see who it was.

...

It was Sehun.
