Ch. 9 - Bittersweet

Hello everyone! I havent been updating lately and i just want to say thank you to those who read this. I didnt expect a lot of people would read this even if the chapters are extremely short. xx.

"Sehun. S-sehun..." I mumbled his name as the night started to get darker. I was hoping for one phone call from him, but that never happened.

After waiting for another few hours, I gave up and I left the building. I shouldn't have trusted Sehun, knowing he's already an idol. He has his own life filled with stacks of schedules, while I haven't started my new life yet.

By the time I reached the school, it was midnight. I didn't want to sleep at the dormitory tonight so I decided to go to a close convenience store to get some ramyun.

When I stepped inside the store, I immediately saw Sehun. I tried to quickly run away but he grabbed my wrist and held it tightly before I could do anything.

"Seo Young. Let me explain."

"...Let go of my wrist."

"I'm sorry for everything. Please don't stay mad at me..."

"Let go of my wrist Sehun."

"No. I'm not going to let go of your wrist because if I do, you're going to run away and I don't want that to happen. I want you to be mine...Seeing your face everyday at school makes my day a hundred times better. To be honest, I followed you everywhere on campus to make sure you were protected." I stood frozen by his words. Slowly, I started to fall in love with his cold, yet sweet demeanor unknowingly.

"Are you some obsessive stalker? Usually, when people fall in love, they're compatible with each other and have many common interests...And you're telling me to be yours? We have no common interests nor we get along with each other. Are you still going to continue?" I paused. "Besides...Sehun. You're an idol. Once you date me, thousands of crazy sasaeng fangirls will start attacking me. Is that your way of protecting me?..."

"No. Seo Young. I'll just leave my group for you. I'll--"

"What? You'll leave the group because of me? You sound so desperate. Don't you have a life? You already finished your life goal and now you're quitting?...I have to go." I pulled my hand away with strong force and I left the ramyun shop. There was no where to sleep so I went to a 24/7 coffee shop down the street.

All the words I recently said to Se Hun were all fake. I love him, but in order to protect him, lies were forced out of my body and my true feelings were kept inside my heart. While I sat in the lounge room, I checked my unread text messages. All of them were from SeHun.

[07/23 | 11:00PM] Sorry, Seo Young for leaving you. I miss you so much. If i don't come back, I'll just tell you this, beforehand. I love you...

I whispered to myself. "...I love you too, Se Hun...I'm sorry for hurting you...for everything."

I got startled at my alarm ringtone so I immediately woke up for school. Before I left the coffee shop, I ordered a latte and a cake for Ga Eul to apologize for leaving her alone last night at the dorm.
