CHAPTER 17
Liz planned the entire “farewell party” so well. The place is actually first-rate. She chose the Canon Bridge Roof Garden as the venue for the party and when we arrived at the venue, I automatically fall in love with the wonderful view from the rooftop. Hovering on the edge, I gawk at the astounding view of The Shard, the tower bridge, and the St. Paul’s Cathedral from up above. My mouth was caught agape as I saw how beautiful the place is.
I, all of a sudden, enbosom Liz who stands beside me at the moment while I admire the wonderful scenery. I give her a tight squeeze and mutter a “thank you” in her ears.
I slowly pull away as Liz starts bobbing her head with the music. I look up to her. She is smiling gloriously. Her eyes meet mine and a ravishing grin graces on her lips. “You should enjoy your last day in London. Go!” Liz directs me and I do what I am told. A little party can do me no harm. I shrug my shoulders and run inside.
It is my night and I am going to make the most out of it. I smile to myself.
I actually met a couple of people over London through the course of staying here. Although most of them are part of the 1D crew because that’s where basically my stay in London revolved around.
After talking to different people, them saying their goodbyes to me, I decided to sit for a while. I never thought talking would be a lot of work. I regard Liz for that. She’s great with talking to people that’s why everyone loves her.
I notice how the boys are still not here and part of the reason why I’m here is because of them. I wouldn’t have gone if I knew they aren’t coming. They’re like the closest thing I got next to Liz; the others are just some acquaintances whose names are unusual to me. That’s how much I suck at socializing. If you won’t make an effort in getting to know me, you’ll never do.
“Hey, you okay?” Liz asks as she gently places a hand on my shoulder.
“Yeah, just got tired form all the talking,” I give her a diminutive smile.
“You sure?” She double questions me, raising an eyebrow.
“Yup. Definitely.” I assure her by flashing the most thoughtful grin I could possible do.
“Oh okay, then. This is your party. Do whatever you want. Don’t forget to have fun, okay?” Liz yells through the booming sound as the music grows louder. I give her a thumbs-up and she went off dancing- vanished like a swift wind. I settle myself on those rounded couch, playing with the center piece on the table. I'm really having huge doubts for actually thinking going here wouls be a good idea. I hate parties. I called out for a server. He handed out the menu for me and I ordered myself a Verrine and a drink.
“Uhm excuse me, can I have beef cheek cottage pie with truffled mash and...” I run my finger through the drinks on the list. I can’t decide what to choose because most of them have a bit of alcohol in it and I tried to avoid that. “I think I’ll just have some iced tea with it.” I said as I grinned at the server. He nodded and left.
I breathed in, shutting my eyes gently. “I should be enjoying this moment.” I thought to myself. I slowly fluttered my eyes open, only to see 4 boys staring down at me.
“Who orders an iced tea at a party?” Louis sneered. A grin formed on my face at the sight of the boys. I was glad they arrived.
“Apparently, she’s not a drinker like some of us.” Liam countered Louis.
“Says the bloke who is always on the piss!” Zayn said as he gave a slight chuckle.
“Yeah buddy!” Niall agreed giving Zayn a high five. I just love watch these lads fooling around. They’re all a pleasure to watch.
